On Maniche....he has impressed in training and shown flashes of his former self for Chelsea....imo he isn't a washed up bum (lol, hilarious turn of phrase that one )
But I think Tiago, Petit and Fernandes all deserve to play ahead of him and Costinha on club form alone.
Miguel Carvalho Meira Ferreira should be set in stone....shouldn't even be thinking about Valente.
Against inferior teams you could go all out attack with
....................Ricardo
Miguel Carvalho Meira Ferreira
.....................Petit
Figo...............................Simao
....................Deco
..........Pauleta....Ronaldo

^I'm pretty sure they'll play Pauleta as a lone striker so I guess either Ronaldo or Figo may play in a more central position on occassions (Figo has done quite often this season for Inter).

It was just a possibility for when they play crap sides or when they need to attack.

The scary thing is that they it's likey someone as good as Quaresma will end up on the bench.
I think a lot of people are underestimating Portugal but they're my pick as dark horse for the competition.

They were mine until Andrade was ruled out. Still have one upset in them but won't win.

Exactly, they probably won't win (although you never know) but I won't be surprised if they go as far as the semis.

I love your lineup, but I won't risk starting Carlos. Against Middlesborough he folded like a cheap chair. We need someone with big game experience and the two best contenders are Ricardo or Baia.

Carlos was voted the best player in the game, the players basically quit after they tied 2-2, fans of Steua waited for the arrival of the plane chanting the players names. If was not for Carlos the score could be 8-2 it was a massacre to watch.

Maniche has only made 5 appearances at Stamford Bridge. Do you know where I can get that information about how he has impressed in training. Thanks.
I think that Tiago and Manelele should start.

From me....He impressed in training because on the occasion where Mourinho decided to select payers based on their performance in training he went straight into the starting XI had 15 great minutes v West Ham then got sent off.
He will be ready to play for Portugal.

The problem with Portugal is that Scolari always puts the Mixes the lineups even for a match that is thought to be easy.Like I said I think we learned our lesson and the right players will be chosen Im confident Scolari will use his head this time Instead of his dick.
Fabio....Yor right Quaresma will be in the bench but I want him as a sub if not in some Games he will play the Striker position if Pauleta is struggling cause thats what he tends to do in Big Games and is a Good option for Ronaldo /Figo.

Tiago should start but Maniche shouldnt get a Free pass give the young Guns a shot and lets see what they can do.People Forget Pedro mendes the guy is a Rui Costa part deux I think he can help the Midfield and he has the clutch shot.
Im very confident that Scolari will pick this keeper maybe start him in some Games>Reasons:I think he was Impressed when he scouted him and he has lead his team that far and rarely makes mistakes.
Bottom Line:
PORTUGAL IS A NEW BREED WE NEED TO BE CONFIDENT AT THE WORLD CUP
