Also theres a matter of Free will mate.God isnt going to spoon feed us everything. He loves us yes.But at the same time we've got to so called work for his love. When he tests us with deaths or trials you've got to stand up and say hey i know shit happens but i still believe in God and that isnt going to deter me.

We make our own fate mate.If not believing in God makes you sleep at night then so be it.I just hope that you make up for it by being a good person.Although Im not sure if thats a forgiveable offence But you dont care since you dont believe in the big man.

Interesting. Prophets.............

I look on prophets as mentally challenged people who believe that God spoke to them and told them to do this and that. Lots of different prophets spread lots of different words about lots of different things. All apparently from the same God too. And according to whatever religion you believe in, you will have differing views on the same subject.

So do we have ONE God or a few ? You see, there's either one or there isn't. Surely there couldn't be a few of them !!

And the prophets of today are doing a pretty piss poor job. Especially for Islam. I know we call them Preachers of Hate, but who are we to judge whether a prophet is for real or not ? God, or the wee sweetie mice running about their heads, might be telling them to murder people, you nor I can prove what they're being told. What a naughty God that one would be then..................

Personally, I hope that I am a good person. I'm 37 years old and have never even had a parking ticket nor points on my driving licence never mind a criminal conviction.

You believe and I don't. I'm cool with that. But it's definitely this world's greatest mystery, and it IS a mystery, it is NOT fact.

Mate I think you're confusing Prophets and Sheiks?Sheiks can be pretty misguiding. There are 72 sects of Islam.2 of which are the Main Sects.Sun'nah and Shi'ah...or shi'ite as some pronounce it...dont know why lol.

In anycase the Sufi's are the insane ones causing most of the trouble....really radical islam...literally taking everything and making it into some kinda of a cultish haze where they have to be in pain in order to gain enlightenment from god or something of the sort...its kinda scary if you see some documentaries.

But the last Prophet of Islam was Prophet Mohamed.

Also Islam Christianity and Judaism all believe in the same God but different interpretations or different ideas as to how History went down.

Judaism---> Christianity----->Islam is how it went through time.

Whether or not everything we're told is true is another story but I tend to believe that they do believe in the same God....now if you're hindu....thats insane...330 million gods...holy crap.Their kind folk though.Really nicest people Ive ever met.We should all start believing in Karma

Wow, didn't know that !!

Karma Karma Karma Karma Karma Chameleon !!!!

One further question that I hope you can relay some truth to.

A guy that I work with is reading a book entitled "Jesus - Prophet of Islam".

What does this mean ? Should I be worried ?

And ....................... different interpretations of the same god is what I've been getting at all this time !!!!

Well Islam has it as Jesus being the prophet of God.Yes Mary concieved a baby without actually having sex but again that is because God allowed it to happen.

Islam doesnt believe Jesus to be God himself but a messenger. He was given life by God and although he took the sin's of man his revival again was by God to show that God was real and that he is all powerful...not God rising from the dead.

There are differences but overall the same story is told.ASIDE FROM WATER TO WINE

There is Prophet Moses,Abraham,Jacob etcetcetcetc! ofcourse their names area a bit different due to translation but you get the gist of it.

I dont think you should be worried mate.Muslims arent bad people.99% of the Muslims you meet are your ordinary folk.I just hate how the sensationalist media portrays Islam to be.Its really not what you hear or see in the media outlets.Im sure you know this already.

Thats the line that threw me off.Apparently theres a new prophet in some kinda Christian sect touring around Canada....or so he says he's a prophet. Its all fake to me.

People like Jesus,Mohamed,Buddha,Ghandi,Mother Teresa etc etc is what we should strive out to be.Not this crap about fear due to prefinanced operation by some people who claim to be of a certain religion when in actual fact its the exact opposite of what the religion tells them to do.

EDIT: also in Hinduism they believe that there is a bit of God in us and we are just waiting enlightenment in order to fully become 1 with God again. Its really interesting.

Hinduism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

scroll down to concept of God.My brain hurts...

It is a terrible pity that Islam is portrayed in the light that it is in the media. I mean, I don't know any muslims personally because there aren't many in the country where I live.

But we, the public, do need to know about threats that might be imminent from that faith. I know that 99% of Muslims are decent, but it is from that faith and the beliefs in that faith that they rise to prominence.

I can only compare it to how the general (not all) Protestant faith felt towards Roman Catholics here in Northern Ireland whilst the IRA murdered and bombed their way to power. Again, 99% of catholics are decent, as are 99% of protestants, but those faiths were portrayed as evil by each other because of what was going on.

It's the same with muslims, and until we get a grip, seek out and destroy these idiotic terrorists, that unfair portrayal of Islam will remain with a lot of the Western Civilisation.

Back to God, like I said, I believe that Jesus existed, I really do not deny that. I just think that he was yet another ordinary man in those times claiming he was this and that, and the Romans and Jews foolishly believed his hype.

Have you seen The Man from Earth yet?The last line there of yours really reminds me of the film.I think you'd really like it.

The Man from Earth (2007)

I really suggest watching it.Brilliant film and really portrays history in a different kind of shade.
