The movement is starting. You cant oppress and lie to a nation so well equipped with technology like America and get away with it.Americans are wising up They understand whats happening and they arent going to take it anymore. This includes the smart the dumb the crazy the noble like any other country.
They understand that they've been lied to.Im glad that John Stewart and Sean Penn are standing up against it.It takes a few celebrities to get the people to open their eyes and change their views. To go on the net and do a little research. To go to the library pick up a book and see whats actually been documented not turn on CNN or FOX news or ABC and listen to their lies.

I believe the American mainstream media should also be investigated.

i don't pretend to know a lot about american politics, unfortunately i know all the figures in american politics, i.e. condoleza rice, cheney, rumsfeld and of course bush but when it comes to lying to the people of your own nation, sending them off to fight for something that isn't there and causing the needless deaths of hundreds upon thousands of men and women on both sides, it almost makes me turn apolitical

Well, nice propaganda there......
But I didn't see any clips of the London bombings, the Madrid bombings, 9/11 etc etc etc...............
I have absolutely NO love for Bush, but he did what I personally would have done at the time. And I still think he did the right thing.
We are at war with a worldwide network of terror that we have never ever witnessed before. We all need to realise that.
Go tomorrow and put your kid on a bus. Are you sure that your child is going to be OK ?
Get on a train anywhere in your city. Are you sure that you're going to be OK ?
Christ, I went to London for a weekend and my wife wouldn't get on a tube train..........
And why ?
Because of muslim terrorists. It's not because of your mum or mine, it's because there is a network of fantasists claiming to be muslims, targetting and killing people for no reason.
Maybe we don't believe in their Allah............
And if we don't, so fucking what ?

It would be one thing if bush was actualyl fighting a war on terror but he isnt..He used the fear of 9/11 to get into iraq for his oqn benifits. Saddam while a complete lunatic in his own right, wasnt really a threat to the united states at the time, had nothing to do with 9/11 had no weapons of mass destruction, and was not hiding bin laden or al queda. Bush used it as an opprotunity to try and finish what his dad started back in desert storm..He wanted saddam dead and thats all to it..Im not saying the world isnt a better place with him dead, but thats not a war on terror..Al queda and bin laden attacked the united states on september 11th and still 7 years 7 FUCKIN YEARS later...his still not found!!! They are still at large...primitave fuckin people are hiding from the most advanced technologies and most powerful army in the world? I think not! Bush isnt looking for him! Bush doesnt give 2 shits about him. All he wanted was to kill saddam and get the oil and thats it! He masked everything in fear of 9/11....

Disagree mate. Killing that mad bastard was the greatest thing that could have happened. One day, he would have maybe killed you and I and our families in his war against all and sundry.
And, funny enough, I don't think McCain or Obama will be any different, faced with the same circumstances.
Words are cheap..............

The European bombings were done by Europeans, not terrorists in far off land.
9-11 is not so clear cut. There is plenty of evidence to suggest that it is fishy.
Secondly, if you follow the logic of going after the "problem" child as you yourself profess too, then Afghanistan and Iraq are not the countries that are the problem. Saudi Arabia has probably more terrorists or people that hate America. However because the "kingdom" is firmly controlled by the monarch, who are in bed with the American administration, the Americans do nothing.
Even when armed with evidence, and the oppressive society that Saudi Arabia is, they do NOTHING.
So you can see, its absolutely unfortunate that people like yourself are brainwashed into thinking that Bush and his foreign policy are made to make the world a safer place. Wake up and smell the coffee!
American foreign policy is made for one thing, and that is global control, and one world government.
Dictators in charge?? No problem! As long as they listen to Uncle Sam.
You violate human rights?? No problem! Read above.
You don't follow America, or bow down to the Neo-conservatives that run the "show", then you have big problems. And they will make you out to be a very evil country.
Just to put this in logic, so people like yourself can understand, Iran and Saudi Arabia are no different. If anything, Iran is not as oppressive as Saudi Arabia, however one tows the "party line", and one doesn't.
You can probably figure out which is which.
This is the reason why, after all this time, no WMDs were found in Iraq. And the Taliban, which the US helped to install was toppled.
For strategic advantage.
Now you say, well its better us, than them. I personally like to take the higher ground. How many lives were lost in Iraq by this so called war???? Which is illegal by the way.
What have the American accomplished? Other than securing oil reserves and installing puppet governments.
The Afghan prime minister used to work for an oil company that wanted to build a pipeline in the country!!! Wake up and smell the coffee. And now they will get their pipeline.
However what makes the situation even worse, is that the Americans are slamming Russia for invading Georgia, when they had the right to do so!

This thread is about American politics, something which I have limited knowledge of.
But can anyone on here put their hand on their heart and say that whoever gets control will drastically change the American way of doing things ?

Of course not, but the last Bush Administration could be waking up the dormant American public, which has basically given the government a blank cheque to do nasty things all around the world.

And?
Look, if you want to support the neo-conservatives and their agenda for global domination, then that is your right. I have a new perspective on matters.

America supported my country to provide a safe country to bring my kids up.
So I will support America.
Is that not logical to you ?
