Should Turkey join the EU?

No they should not. Well at least not if they doesn't improve alot. The military is way too powerful there is always the danger of a military takeover

Takeover of who? First of all they don't have a larger military than France. They might have more infranty, but they don't have the airforce or navy of Italy, France or Germany. I highly doubt they can take over any one.

Turks are not stupid.



Corruption is a problem in many countries in Europe.

The other issues are more of a society problem, these things take years to work out in the system.

No I don't mean Turkey taking over another country but overthrowing the turkishgouvernment and installing a puppet gouvernment.

Yeah, and if that happens, then you kick them out. Simple as that. The EU would never allow that.

However the military from my understanding has overthrown the government if it became to fundamentalists. So it could be argued that it has been done for the moderates.

I can't help but laugh hysterically when there's a suggestion of keeping the EU a "Christian Club." Europe itself is hardly a Christian club - 50% of Europe doesn't believe in any kind of God at all, let alone Christianity.

I have watched friends and my uncle die of cancer and other illnesses. So where was this great GOD ?

God hasn't been proven, but it hasn't been disproven. And frankly if you don't believe, that is your perogative, but please phrase things a little bit better for those that do.

The fear which I think is justified is that Europe becomes more muslim and the fundamentalists slowly gain a foothold there. While very remotely possible, it is possible. However I'm hoping the moderates take control of things.

I just can't believe that there are so many people out there thinking that there's this great thing called God/Allah.

Now your mixing things up. Forget about the "religious" aspect, or the spin that many religions put on "god".

However the theory of a supreme being or god if you will, that help create or for scientific purposes, help terraform the planet or create man or for scientific purposes, help uplift apes to the humans we are today is a possibility.

So in a nutshell, "God" might be a highly advanced race that created us.

Evolution would still apply.

The planet would still be 3 billion years old.

Etc, etc.


And as I said, you haven't proven or disproven anything. The only thing you have proven is that you need to belittle other's beliefs to make your point.

I'm for one open to the possibilty that a higher power does exist.

However considering the society that the UK has become, it doesn't surprise me that the Brits feel about things as they do. Not everything is cut and dry.

It has been scientifically proven that humans give off an "auro" as compared to a cow for example. What is this "auro", they don't know. I can't remember the spectrum to view it, but its there.
