they have...the media doesnt report it.Constantly the moderates talk about not being extreme. And constantly they condemn anything that these fake muslims do.
They twist and turn things in their favour....but what does the media do? They call them Islamists.....now that is completely wrong.
|
Ah...they have and haven't. We need to see more of an effort from the moderates. It doesn't help that most muslim regimes in the middleeast fail to recognize Isreal, but as I said that is their business.
For the record, I don't actually have a beef with the way the fundamentalist think or what they are doing...I just have a problem with them taking out their aggression on inocents in western countries. So until a better method is found, this is the easiest and really the only way.
Having said all of this, the government and society at large should try to build better ties with that community so this doesn't have to be done.

You mean you need to see more in the media.....Like I said if you go to a mosk and listen to the lectures they constantly talk about not being an extremists and how they arent really muslims.
Is that good for the western world?No...because they want the oil and other resources. Its pretty damn obvious whats going on here.
Again ANY major attack has clues and signs....and for that matter warnings MONTHS in advance. If anything all of these "attacks" can be and should be stopped.
But now we're slipping offtopic.

I believe they were treated like crap even before they had any chance to commit a crime.
Racial or nationality-based profiling exists from the beginning of the mankind, simply because all of us tend to identify with the in-group and have negative attitude towards the out-group. Moreover, if we have the opinion, that the crime or some acts of terrorism are being committed by a particular group of people (once again, based on race or nationality, or as it's common now, by religion), we will always look for evidence and remember the actual events that prove our opinion is right.
Getting back to your main topic of discussion, racial profiling won't solve any problems in society. Sure, if there's a man/woman who looks suspiciously, they have to be checked out, anyways, checking out everyone who's of the particular race or nationality is simply absurd.
Everyone wants to feel safe, but instead of repeating the mistakes of the past, the governments should be educating people to overcome the paranoya and open their eyes. However, it's too idealistic - governments all over the world give the education that is useful for themselves...

i don't agree with it in it's present form. when police in america, or anywhere for that matter, specifically target black people and middle eastern muslims that is a violation of human rights, now having said that i agree with Jager in the first post over if a particular ethinc group tend to cause more trouble thn others they should come under closer scrutiny
in short there is no definitive right or wrong answer

I think that some black people have a chip on their shoulder to be honest.
The MOBO Awards, for example. If there was a MOWO Awards, there would be an outcry.
Music of WHITE Origin !!!! How Terrible !!!!
I have absolutely nothing against them by the way. Just making a damn good point.

too right. i'm just remembering back to the ricky hatton vs. floyd mayweather fight. when mayweather was asked how he felt after the fight he said, and i quote: "i'm young, i'm rich and i'm black, it's the greatest feeling in the world"
all i could think of after hearing that was, if hatton said that he would be fucking hated the world over and now i'm asking where is the equality in that?

And cianl, the silence on this subject is deafening...........
If we were calling for all sorts on racism or being called this and that, do you think it would be as quiet ?
Just a question...........
