Swiss press for hardline moves on new immigrants
If any immigrant commits a violent crime, the Swiss government deports the entire family from the country.
It also counts against that group ground looking to become citizens.
They recently banned any construction of mosque minarets.
Their campaign poster is three white sheep roaming on a Swiss-flag delimited area kick out a black sheep (see the pic below). Do you think this is good or bad?

This is a fine line...
If i were an immigrant i would be offended by it..
Secondly....
If they are going to pull a stunt like this they should kick out anyone that commits a crime and their family as well not just new immigrants!

I'm glad you asked this. Do some research on this. There was very little crime in Switzerland before, and they have had an upsurge, traced back to new immigrants.
However, I for one think that new arrivals should be held even higher in terms of their behaviour, they are new guests to the country, and if they are creating crime, sometimes jail time doesn't work. This also makes the family itself, put added pressure on the offending people.
This is a pet peeve of mine in this country we live in. Families don't have any control over their sons mainly, then plead ignorant when shit happens. I like to see this changed...but another story for another time.
Overall I like the tough stance, I don't agree with all their new rules, but I don't mine that one.

I think the rule is logical though. I will deter familys with members who know they are likely to commit a crime from going there in the first place, the immigrants who already live there will be 'extra careful' from committing crime (which is always a good thing), and you get the 'bad' people out of your society and their familys who are more likely to commit crimes if people close to them do so too.

Excellent way to let the new immigrants know that they must behave themselves.
Totally in agreement.
I wish Gordon Brown, the worst Prime Minister ever, took note. Oh no, he would probably give the offender and his family a 4 bedroom house, people carrier and £2,000 per week as a punishment.

Well, does it not happen in Britain then ?
If you have a hook and 23 children, stand outside a mosque and threaten to kill all things British for 3 hours per day, then get into your people carrier and go home to your 4 bedroom house in London then sign on the dole, guess what ?
You get £2k for it !!
Might try that myself one day lad. But guess what ?
As a lifelong British citizen, I would get FUCK ALL.
And don't call me a racist for being fucking honest.

Ejecting new arrivals will become more common in Western coutries, as the locals will not want them. I have seen this on a few occasions already.

You have to stop calling people racist if they have views that are a little more xtreme mate.
In the world today, there are people in western countries that want to see a more hardcore stance with new arrivals, including Canada. I think Mr Brightside is not alone in this. I for one share some of his views, though not all.
So please, don't make labels.

..and I for one think that even in Canada, certain groups have exploited are lax laws in certain situations.
From unemployment insurance to immigration, but the government is playing catch up trying to plug the holes.
In my own area, an old lady was run over after a young east indian man was drag racing or convicted of it. Well guess what? He was sent back home, as he was only a land immigrant.
So you can see, some of these laws already exist, and the government seems to be getting tougher.
I know that Europe has this great fear about being overrun by radical Islamic fundamentalist. Justified or not. So they are changing the laws to make sure they have the control, and not them. What works for the existing populace, might not work for them.

That is part of the reason, but it's also simple maths. A lot of European countries have been welcoming immigrants and refugees for 50 years both for the influx of cheap labour and also because the rich Western countries can't simply turn down cries of help from other poor suffering people looking for refuge.
Now though many of these countries are becoming overpopulated and simply can't afford hundreds of thousands of new citizens each year, who in the majority don't / can't do much for the economy.
Sure many people simply don't like strange people coming in with different ideologies, beliefs and cultures because that is part of one of humans most traditional flaws. But, Western economies are going to grow as much and fast as they did the past 50 years meaning they won't be able to afford unlimited hinderences to the economy.

Its funny how certain minority's contribute more to a nations economy then others.
I am pretty sure that every Sikh i have ever meet (i lived in an area that was 80% sikh) will work so hard in order to become self employed. they will either drive trucks for years until they save enough to buy a couple rigs to start their own business.
I have honestly never seen an unemployed punjabi.

I have absolutely no problem with Sikhs and the headgear they wear. To be honest, there are none where I live, but if there were, it would not bother me in the slightest.
The avatar you talk about was in response to people like you unfairly labelling me a racist, which I most certainly am not. I did it as a joke, but obviously you didn't see it that way, so I apologise for offending you. I didn't mean to.
And all immigrants are certainly not the same, but as a lifelong British citizen, it is hard for me to see friends of mine get less than a lot of immigrants. If it was up to me, I wouldn't allow any more immigrants into Britain for the next 5 years, and only then would they be allowed in if they could prove their worth to this country.
