Erm think about it a bit, that is bullocks!
I personally don't believe in god, if there is any larger power it is mother nature and the forces of nature.
However without sadness there is no happiness, without pain there is no health, without failure there is no success!
If we didn't know what it was like to have really crappy days we wouldn't be able to enjoy the good ones, if we didn't know there were people who have really crappy lives we wouldn't be able to appreciate our own!
THAT is why bad is good!

an interesting theory is that China is set to replace the USA and become the next world hegemonic power in possibly 20-30 years.
could this perhaps lead to a massive conflict, possibly a third world war? WWI and II were essentially the result of countries battling for the right to be hegemonic in global affairs i.e. rivalry between a rising Germany and the established power of great britain. in the end of WW II the USA and USSR became the hegemonic powers, USSR eventually collapsed and today the USA stands alone.
USA has the better military but China can field over 40 million soldiers. If this happens I think it would destroy much of the world. However chinese and american elites rely on each other for their economic livelihood and the power of money and the corporation in todays world is greater then the power of nation states.

Armageddon will happen sooner or later. What's I'm most concern over is how CO2 changes the environment. I don't think it will be reduced in the following years...

I dont think if there is a world war that it would actually take place with soldiers but infact it would be a war of communication.
The US owes china trillions of dollars which would plummet the United States economy.Just as much as China needs the USA in buying its product and fuel its own economy. If WW3 were to happen...it would take behind the scenes and in the board rooms imo.
In regards to the CO2.It will take more energy to take us off of fossil fuels then it would to keep using them
One alternative is Helium 3 which is in abundance on the Moon apparently.NASA is looking into it.But it should take awhile before we hear anything.

China doesn't have aspirations to conquer the world like the US does, this is quite evident, and I don't think the US will become a world weakling in the next twenty years.
If the US manages its finances correctly, they will retain their power.
European and Russian power is in the background, there might be many power bases.
As for Helium three on the moon, the supply is not proven, but its thought to have an abundance, going back to moon rocks brought back from the Apollo missions.
I think the world will just make it, but many different sources of energy will emerge, not just one.
Solar is growing at the moment. There is no reason why each house or apartment or building won't have solar panels. They are coming up with more and more ways to incorporate the panels into buildings in such a way that they are cost affective, and generate abundance of energy, and they can sell excess power back into the grid.
We have about 1000 years of nucleur energy available, according to some experts.
Then there is geothermal which is really at its infancy.
As for future wars, who knows? It just takes one crack pot. A large scale war?
Future wars will be over water and food, no doubt about this.

i do actually think the world will end sometime soon. say within the next 100 years (i don't know why but it's just a strong feeling i get), but that doesn't mean i'm going to start whinging about it. if anything it spurs me on.
to quote morgan freeman (legend) from the shawshank redemption: "get busy livin', or get busy dyin' ".
we're all dying anyway from the moment we are born, now that sounds morbid but it's true.
death to me is a way of encouraging people to live their lives to the fullest extent, but that's just one mad man's personal opinion

The biggest rock is only 30 years away, and it's on course to scrape our atmosphere in 2038.
Scientists can see these things, evaluate them and predict.
Believers in Gods cannot.
