Not only will this klear up konfusion and make the life of sivil servants easier, but also komputer keyboards will need one less key.

There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year, when the troublesome 'ph' will be replased with an 'f'. This will make words like 'fotograf' 20 per sent shorter.

In the third year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to get to a stage where more komplikated alterations are possible. So double letters will be removed to inkrease the likelihod of akurate speling. And the horrible mess of the silent 'e' wil be banished.

By the fourth yar, peopl will be reseptiv to steps like replasing 'th' by 'z' and 'w' by 'v'.

During ze fifz yar, ze unecesary 'o' kan be dropd from vords kontaining 'ou', and similar modifikations vud of kors be aplid to ozer kombinations of leters.

Seriously speaking though that was pretty neat.Although I dont buy .Public and foreign policies in the US match ours.They'll need our water and soft wood lumber we'll need their protection.Its the beuty of beinf the neighbour of the world's super power I suppose.

It's actually a jibe at Germany, who are the aggressors in Europe, always trying to dictate how other countries are run. They apparently wanted the English language changed some years ago, and the way the article explained this was quality in that it finished as if Hitler himself spoke the last line.

We are the third biggest economic power in the world, we are one of the biggest countrys in Europe and we have the most inhabitants of all countrys in the EU. All this anti-European bollocks springs from one source. Rupert Murdoch. Its either Sky, The Times, or The Sun -any one of Murdochs rags or TV stations.

They have such ludicrous stories such as ''the EU wants to ban British sausages'' or ''they want to make our crisps square'' , or ''they want to take away the English language''.

You know why Murdoch has this anti European crusade ?? It's because the EU has laws that curtail media monopoly. ie no individual or organisation can own dozens of newspapers or TV stations. Murdoch doesnt like this, it means he can't smother the entire population with his rabid right wing shit.

I'm sorry, but I don't share that sediment. The reason Germany rule Europe is because their economy is very strong, compared to the other countries. If anything, they are propping some of the weaker economies.

And this non sense that Britian doesn't try to influence European or Nato matters is pure non sense also. To me, there is good balance between the countries, and I don't think one country is trying to lead the agenda over another.

Not at all. As part of the EU any changes within the EU tend to force us to shift towards a more European way of thinking (for example we had to change from selling fruit and veg in pounds and ounces to grams and kilograms.

We're less of a lapdog to the US now Blair as gone.

Brightside that isn't true.

Germany, France and the UK are the big powers in Europe so they tend to take the lead in discussions and tend to have the most influence.

The German's aren't trying to rule Europe, they just recognise the benefits of a more United Europe, as do France. Unfortunately because we are doing very well on our own and because the benefits for us, being an island nation set apart from the rest of the EU, are far more limited we tend to be far more negative about the EU.
