Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has claimed that Rosanero striker David Di Michele is on his way to Parma.

In an interview on Italian radio show Radio Radio lo Sport, the outspoken businessman announced that he had already negotiated a deal for the troubled hitman and that he expects him to join the Ducali within the week.

“Three days ago I had Parma President Tommaso Ghirardi as a guest in my house in Lombardy, and we have agreed terms for Di Michele. Now it’s up to the Emiliani to reach an agreement with him,” he revealed.

Such a deal represents a risk for Parma as the ex-Reggina marksman is facing an FIGC investigation for allegedly gambling on Serie A matches.

If he is found to be guilty, the 31-year-old could find himself banned for anywhere between three months and three years.
