Parma sale hits problem!

http://www.channel4.com/sport/footba...ia/jun30j.html

There is more uncertainty regarding the future of Parma Football Club after their proposed sale failed to take place on Thursday.

Swiss company Ticino Hosting were widely expected to complete their £20m take-over today, but that hasn’t happened.

It is unclear at this stage why the deal has stalled but there are a number of theories circulating in Emilia this evening.

One is that Parma’s failure to sell Alberto Gilardino, to either Milan or Chelsea, has seen the Tardini outfit’s value on the market increase.

Another is that the club would rather sell to a new consortium of local businessmen rather than the Swiss, who are owned by Naples-born entrepreneur Gaetano Valenza.

Parma were placed under administration after major-backers Parmalat were hit by a financial scandal and have been looking for new owners ever since.

It was rumoured that Valenza was set to bring in Coach Zdenek Zeman and former Roma sporting director Franco Baldini.

Meanwhile, Juventus have received an £11m cash injection after selling their official headquarters to Turin company Virgiliocinque.

The Bianconeri, however, will continue to rent the building in Corso Galileo Ferraris from the new owners.

That cash could now be used during this summer’s transfer market, mainly to aid their assault on Roma’s Antonio Cassano.

Default Parma sale off – or is it?

http://www.channel4.com/sport/footba...lia/jul4k.html

Parma have said that the club’s proposed sale to Rialto Holding has collapsed even if the Swiss group insist they are still in the running.

The Stadio Tardini outfit today announced that they have taken up their option to cancel an initial agreement after failing to receive a credit transfer.

But Italian businessman Gaetano Valenza, who owns the company, insists that the funds were available to complete the transaction.

"Parma Football Club are in administration under Mr Bondi," stated Valenza. "We’ve contacted him on a number of occasions but he has never replied.

"We have £25m to buy but if the numbers have changed then we can’t do anything about it. We can just take note of the situation and start again from scratch.

"I want to speak to Bondi in a bid to find out why their mistakes have brought a stop to everything."

Parma were placed under administration after major backers Parmalat were hit by a financial scandal, and have been looking for new owners ever since.

Valenza is also keen to wrap up the club’s capture as soon as possible given that he’s already lined up a new technical team.

"We already have a structure in place with (Franco) Baldini, (Giovanni) Galli and (Zdenek) Zeman," he added.

Baldini and Galli are club officials who were with Roma and Fiorentina respectively last season.

Boss Zeman, a 4-3-3 disciple, is looking for a new job after he quit Serie A side Lecce last month.

Real Madrid got £200 million in debt under his time as president. But he has won both La Liga and Champions League, and I think its 50/50 that he will get success or not.
I'm sure he'll work hard, but I heard rumours few years ago that he didn't have longer so much capital.

Good news, Parma is in much better position today, I think you will see a few Italian teams being bought in the next few years, if they clear their debt.

Good news for Parma and Serie A as a whole, maybe from the next few seasons they will start challenging for a top 6 finish again.
