MD20: Getafe v Sevilla
3-2
Casquero(32) ____________________Luis Fabiano(16)
Albin(58) _______________________Dragutinovic(89)
Contra(92) ______________________
Great performance by Getafe. Sevilla were really poor and didn’t deserve to get anything from this game imo. After they got that early goal with Fabiano getting a rebound after Alves’s free kick hit Pato’s(who was really poor yesterday) face they just sat back and allowed Getafe to come on to them. They had tons of chances with Granero’s shot hitting the post, De La Red’s header cleared off the line by Alves and Granero’s header in box being saved by De Sanctis after a great flick on from Albin. Though they did get what they deserved when Casquero unleashed a screamer.
Second half Sevilla could’ve stolen the lead when Navas put in a great low cross along the six yard line, but Capel totally scuffed his chance.
Albin then took advantage of the lack of communication between Dragutinovic and De Sanctis and headered the ball in from close range. Sevilla then took off Mosquera and put on Chevanton, but that really didn’t have any effect and it allowed Getafe to catch them on the break a lot and on one occasion they so luckily escaped with a 3 on 1 situation, but Manu wasn’t able to get the ball out of his feet to put in a shot. Looked like they were going to regret all their missed chances when Dragutinovic got a late goal for Sevilla which they really didn’t deserve and it looked like this game would end in a draw, but Contra put getafe back into the lead in 92nd minute.
Great game and Getafe fully deserved the win. Also any Real Madrid fans reading this Granero showed his class once again, but the limelight belongs to another loan player from Getafe called Pablo Hernandez from Valencia who terrorised Sevilla down both flanks and embarrassed Alves,Drago so many times, Valencia have such a strong foundation shame that the club’s mentality is in ruins.

Casquero scored an amazing goal to get the teams level again, great echnique and the keeper had no chance...but I totally agree with you Pibe it seemed as if Sevilla were just sitting back thinking that they could absorb all this pressure from Getafe without conceeding. Tbh it should have been at least 2-1 to Getafe before the half time whistle went...

Wholesale Changes At Getafe
Quote:
Getafe coach Michael Laudrup may form part of an orderly queue for the exit door at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez come the end of the season according to reports in the Madrid press.
Laudrup has seen his managerial stock rise after leading Getafe to the quarter finals of the Uefa Cup and the final of the Copa del Rey and is thought to have received a number of offers from clubs interested in acquiring his services for next season.
The general feeling seems to be that Laudrup will depart come the summer, but it seems that a number of players could also be on their way.
Adiós
Esteban Granero and Ruben de la Red are set to return to Real Madrid, Pablo Hernández will go back to Valencia, while Cata Diaz and Ikechukwu Uche have both been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid.
In addition, Oscar Ustari has made it clear that he is not happy playing second fiddle to Roberto Abbondanzieri and looks set to be moved on.
Hola
With their coach and a large chunk of their first team possibility set to leave at the end of the season it looks like being a busy summer for president Angel Torres and his cohorts.
Getafe are already though to have completed the Bosman signings of İbrahim Kaş, Eugen Polanski and Rafa and have also come to an agreement with Real Madrid for the loan of young midfielder Adrián González.
Torres is hopeful of completing a permanent deal for the currently on loan Jaime Gavilan, while there is still a possibility that Granero could be loaned to Getafe for one more year, despite previously indicating that he would be opposed to such an idea.
There are certain to be further signings to follow and everything points towards a hectic summer of in and outs at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.

Any thoughts on where Laudrup might go??
One of my all time favourite players, i'm delighted to see him do so well as a manager.

Goal.com - La Liga - Laudrup Tells Getafe He Is Going
Officially going to leave now.
Laudrup's agent said Sevilla was the best offer he had but Monchi said that they want Jimenez to continue for another season. They have offers from Italy, Spain, England and places like Galatasaray.
I'm not sure where he'll end up yet but he'll be linked to the upcoming Valencia, Chelsea and Man City jobs if they all become open.

Definitly won't go to Chelski. Won't take the interference in team selection and after the way his brother was treated there i think its safe to say there's no chance.
Man City might be good for him but i'd say he'll stay in Spain. Valencia would be fantastic for him. Wonderful players there to build a contender around.
Have to feel bad for Getafe though. they keep having to find new managers.
