del Nido and Monchi will again squeeze every Euro out of whichever club ends up getting him.
We've seen with Reyes £17m, Ramos £18m, Baptista £12m-ish most recently and Sevilla are asking for 30m Euros (£20m) for Alves this time around and apparently rejected £10m last season from Liverpool so will go for between £12-20m.
He won Most Valuable Player last season in the UEFA Cup and I didn't hear the winner this year but he would have probably been favourite.
Liverpool would be favourites as they're the only ones we know that have made a concrete offer before. Chelsea are rumoured to be interested to sure up the RB spot. Real would always contest although Txiki of Barca has baulked at their asking price publicly. Milan have Oddo so surely wouldn't?

Alves to Chelsea for £12m - Report
Quote:
Reports coming out of London suggest that Chelsea are set to move for Daniel Alves.
The Sun have claimed that Chelsea acedemy director and chief scout Frank Arnesen met the player's agent at the Hilton Hotel in Park Lane last Friday, just before Brazil's friendly against England, which Alves was a part of.
Interestingly, AS reported yesterday that Real Madrid had spoken to the player's agent on the very same day.
With Liverpool having pulled out of the race, this looks to be turning into a shoot-out between Los Merengues and the Blues.
Chelsea are ready with a £12million offer for Sevilla (the sum Liverpool supposedly refused to pay), as they zero in on the Brazilian.
With Steve Sidwell and Claudio Pizarro already having moved to Stamford Bridge, and Alex's move pretty much done, a right-back is the only real priority signing for Chelsea, and it is understood that they are willing to make this their one and only big move of the summer.
The fact that Alves can play as a right-back and a right-winger, and send in a regular supply of balls into the box from pretty much anywhere on the pitch, has supposedly convinced Mourinho that he is the man.
The report also suggests that Chelsea are ready to offer Khalid Boulahrouz or Paolo Ferreira in part exchange in order to seal the deal amid some fierce competition.

Goal.com - Sevilla - Chelsea Set For £12million Alves Swoop - Report
Liverpool apparently baulked at their asking price and so did Barca a while back. Which would leave Chelsea vs Real Madrid for his signature, unless he stays at Sevilla which is doubtful now.

Alves bidding begins
Quote:
Spanish reports claim Chelsea and Milan have both lodged offers for Sevilla ace Daniel Alves, but it is claimed Real Madrid remain favourites to clinch his signature.
Liverpool have also been linked with the attack minded full-back, but it seems they are yet to make their move.
Milan and Chelsea are understood to have made contact but the offer from the English club is bigger at €24million (£16.2million), with the Italians tabling a €20million (£13.5million) bid.
Sevilla are ready to deal for Alves and are now considering their options.
Chelsea made their move after their Spanish scout Juan Cruz Sol watched him in action against Real Zaragoza last month and he submitted another glowing report.
Real are yet to unveil their hand - but it seems that they could very well offer players in exchange including former Sevilla star Julio Baptista, who spent last season on loan at Arsenal.
Now the bidding has started for Alves, the player will need to consider his options and initial reports suggest Real Madrid is his preferred option.

Milan may have put in a bid for Alves but would they need him with Oddo already as their RB?
Baptista + cash could be an attractive option for Sevilla.

We can offer them a good Right back to replace him. I be kidding to say I don't want him, as it be undeniable prof that Chelsea do have best defense in world, if not all ready having it.
I just wonder if he can play in EPL, adapt to Chelsea system and the Chelsea way, I've seen some of his interview he looks normal , talks mature , which is good , I just wonder if he can get along with the spirit we got going at Chelsea atm, it's one reason why we won't sell Geremi I believe, Gudjohnsen was a bigger blow then it looked for team moral, anyway
Jose will know who to buy.

if alves leaves to chelsea, he would be making the biggest mistake ever made by a football player!
there is no way he plays under jose morinho.
alves is a player that plays on evey spot on the field and in one game you can see him playin in all positions. and that's why he's so special and good!
that's why the spanish league, and sevilla, are perfect to him.. if he goes to chelsea he won't have the freedom to leave his position.
alves should stay in sevilla! or come to barca
and if capello leaves, real is a good option.

Alves Admits Real Appeal
Sevilla full-back Daniel Alves has again flirted with a move away from the club after being asked his opinion about a move to Real Madrid.
The Brazilian has been non-committal about his future at the Sanchez Pizjuan, with some of Europe’s biggest clubs chasing his signature.
After winning the Copa del Rey and Uefa Cup this season, the player was asked about the prospect of joining Real, and he said: "Wow. That would be too much [success] for one person!
"I'm happy at Sevilla, but I will consider my situation. If I am to leave Sevilla, it will be for a great stage.
"The dressing room of Real Madrid is the best in the world."
Alves’ marauding runs forwards from right-back were a major factor in his side’s success this season.

The big question is, what will happen to Dani Alves ?
