Valencia striker, David Villa, admits that his most difficult game will be when he takes on his former side Sporting Gijon next season.
The Asturian hit-man spent four seasons at the club and he scored 51 goals during his time there.
Sporting were promoted from La Segunda Division last term and they will clash with Valencia in La Liga and Villa admits that it will be difficult returning to El Molinon, his old hunting ground.
“The game at El Molinon will be the most difficult game of my life,” Villa told Marca.
“I really hope it all goes well when the time comes.”
Villa also spoke of his idol and former Gijon great, Enrique Castro Gonzalez ‘Quini’ who scored 232 goals for the Rojiblancos.
“I cannot hope to become like Quini as for me, he is the greatest ever player,” said the hit-man.
It will be an emotional return for Villa when he plays at the El Molinon. Sporting signed him as an 18 year old youth team product and it was the club where he made his name, then leaving for Real Zaragoza before Valencia snapped him up in 2005.
