Deportivo 1 -0 Real Betis
Guardado(8)

Guardado looked very good. He was impressive in the copa Americas and is highly rated by some Mexican fans I have come across. Scored a good acrobatic goal and linked up very well with the ex barca man verdu who had a great game.

Only downside for depor is that lafita looked really poor.

Betis look lost still and still don’t look like a team who know each other.

Deportivo drop into the relegation zone after this defeat to fellow relegation battlers osasuna.

Plasil scored a great goal with a volley inside the box which went over aoute. It looked depor were going to lose this one, since they had very little chances, but then ruben castro stepped in the 83rd minute to score from a corner.

It looked like game would finish as a draw, but then aoute made a terrible mistake. Dady hit a harmless free kick which aoute let slip past him. Though to be fair he made some great saves in this game, especially the double save from plasil and dady.

Depors defence is really poor. The loss of Andrade and juanma in the summer was too much. Coloccini isn’t to bad and neither is Piscu, but they have those lapse in concentration which usually costs depor a goal. I hear many depor fans complaining about caparros defensive football, but really can this depor side do anything else ?

Lotina has tried to use offensive tactics and they haven’t really worked at all. But it isn’t his fault this squad wasn’t at all that great when he came. They have a lot of inconsistent performers and the biggest being riki. He looks like trash when he starts, but lately he has been benched and whenever he comes on he puts in a great game. But against osasuna he started and played like sh1t. Ruben castro is a much better option and the young Adrian lopez. Verdu is another inconsistent performer, some games he will put in great performances and others it doesn’t even look like he is on the bench.

This depor side are finished. They need a new investor if they ever want to see European football again, actually forget European football they are struggling to even stay in la liga.

Six Stitches For Aouate After Training Ground Bust-Up

The battle between Dudu Aouate and Gustavo Munúa for the goalkeeper's jersey at Deportivo La Coruña took an ugly turn today as the two players were involved in a physical dispute during training.

During the Deportivo training session this morning, Aouate and Munúa became embroiled in an argument which led to Munúa punching Aouate in the face.

Aouate was taken away by the club's medical staff and required six stitches to close up the cut that Munúa's attack had caused.

Club President Augusto César Lendoiro will meet with manager Miguel Ángel Lotina this evening to discussions the repercussions from the incident.

Once the meeting is adjourned, Deportivo will release a statement to the press confirming the details of the incident and what action they will be taking against those involved.

The bust-up comes just a day after Aouate told the press of the unfair treatment he felt he had received after being dropped from the side in favour of Munúa in recent weeks.

Details are currently scarce on the exact cause of the fight, although it is thought that Aouate's comments may have been the root cause of the disagreement.

If both players are reprimanded by the club, then reserve goalkeeper Manu may be called into action for their trip to Villarreal on Sunday.
Goal.com - Deportivo - Six Stitches For Aouate After Training Ground Bust-Up

according to Israeli press, Munua punched aouate for what he had said in an interview to Israeli Portal - ONE (where he says: "leaving in the summer? possible, but I am not thinking about it now. I am staying in deportivo for now, I have a contract for two more years. I am happy in spain." and "yes, I am on the bench now, but I started in many matches, in la curuna and in racing santander too. and I need to rest and come back in new forces.").
they say that Munua was suspended from the club. Aouate is in doubt for depors match on sunday because the 'injuries' on his face are serious.

thats what I found:

Aouate is refusing to train if Munua is going to be there and has issued the ultimatum that Munua must be sold otherwise he's leaving.

Deportivo Will face Bnei Sakhnin in their first game at the intertoto.

Sakhnin won the 2 legs against FC Zerna from Maccedonia and progressed to the next stage and will have to face depor.

the first leg will be held at the keryat eli-ezer stadium in haifa (which is very close to my house!) this saturday. and a week after sakhnin will travel to the reazor.

sakhnin are the best arab team in the israeli league, the only team from an arab city in the israeli premier league... it is the 2nd time they play in the intertoto, the last time the got knocked out by newcastle.

it will be only the 2nd time in 5 years that a spanish team comes to play in israel and I will go watch them for the second time I'm very excited towards it.

I expect sakhnin to pull a draw in israel and then get a thrashing in spain.

anyway, I'm hoping to see some good stuff from guardado, omar bravo, valeron, coloccini and the others.

Depor outclassed sakhnin and won the first leg by 2-1, with just 15 minutes on full speed, even though they were without most of the starters...

I enjoyed seeing manuel pablo, riki, piscu, lafita, valeron and especially felipe who was amazing...

the match itself was not something special, the first half was boring and the second had some interesting moments.

la curuna are safe in the next round I guess.
