Fulham have failed with a bid for Joe Anyon. The Port Vale youngster is one of the most highly-rated goalkeepers in the lower leagues and is being tracked by a number of Premier League and Championship clubs. The Cottagers are believed to have lodged a £250,000 bid, but this was quickly shunned by the Vale board.

Stuttgart forward Danijel Ljuboja is reportedly on trial at Fulham. Ljuboja is unlikely to have a future at the German club and French daily L'Equipe claims the Serbian international is on trial at Craven Cottage.

TBH they were quite lucky getting Baird sent off and Moore's goal being canceled out because the ref should have waited for the advantage...

Bocanegra and Knight are not good enough I dont think. If they were replaced Fulham would have a chance...

Fulham have joined Rangers in chasing Portsmouth's experienced defender Dejan Stefanovic.

Knight, 27, signed a new three-year deal with the Cottagers in the summer but Fulham boss Lawrie Sanchez accepted an offer from Villa.

Villa boss Martin O'Neill's interest in Knight came after his bid to sign West Brom's Curtis Davies hit the buffers because of the £8m-plus valuation.

There is still interest in Davies and Villa are also keen on a right-back.

Knight joins Olof Mellberg, Martin Laursen and Gary Cahill in the competition for a centre-back slot.

However, there are question marks over the fitness of Laursen, whose time at Villa has been blighted by knee problems, while Mellberg has yet to sign a contract extension.

Knight was signed by Kevin Keegan for Fulham in 1999 and has played for England at under-21 and senior level.

He was a member of Sven Goran Eriksson's squad that took part in a two-game tour in the United States two years ago.

Fulham are eyeing Paris Saint Germain defender Sammy Traore. The Daily Express says Fulham boss Lawrie Sanchez is set to bid for Traore as he seeks defensive reinforcements.
