According to "La Gazzetta Dello Sport", Erion Bogdani has signed a 4-year-deal with Napoli.

Still nothing official, no confirmation from Bogdani himself.
My reliable source transfermarkt.de doesn't say anything either.

Maybe he does good in Italy, but I never seen him do good.

He's total shit for Albania NT, but that has an explanation, probably that there's no quality players to serve for him.

I hope the move to Napoli becomes official, I'm keen to see how will he do. I hope he impresses me.

Ezequiel Ivan Lavezzi broke his Napoli duck in a 5-0 thrashing of Cypriot side Limassol, while Genoa played a 10-goal epic.

Argentine striker Lavezzi scored his first goal for the Azzurri just before the break with a splendid lob, although his rapport with teammates still needs to improve on the field.

Sam Dalla Bona broke through against Limassol from a Gyorgy Garics cross, while Paolo Cannavaro hit the back of the net with a classy backheel finish.

Emanuele Calaio was again the key figure with a brace, as he has now scored six goals in four pre-season friendlies in Napoli’s Austrian training camp.

Genoa had a surprisingly tough time with local side Bassano, as despite leading 5-1, they risked a shock comeback.

Basso accidentally turned a Marco Di Vaio cross into his own net and the former Juventus man also set up Giuseppe Sculli’s strike.

The Grifone seemed safe with Mirco Gasparetto, Ndiaye Papa Waigo and Julio Cesar Leon extending their lead, but made the mistake of sitting back.

In the space of 18 minutes Bassano scored four goals, but Leon managed to complete his brace late on to ensure a 6-4 victory for Genoa.

According to the Brazilian press, Napoli are looking to add a Copa America winner to their roster in the form of Sao Paolo defensive midfielder Josue.



The 28-year-old was one of Brazil’s most steady performers in Venezuela last month, which inevitably made him a target for a number of European clubs. It would now appear that Napoli have emerged as frontrunners in the race for his signature.

“I hope Josue won’t leave and that he will stay until the end of the season at least,” said Sao Paolo manager Muricy Ramalho, with a note of resignation already evident in his voice.

“Napoli’s offer is higher than what we have offered the player and I have to accept that we are not in a position to compete with European clubs financially.”

Spanish side Murcia are also hot on the trail of Josue, full name Josue Anunciato de Oliveira, but their offer of a four-year deal for €750.000 looks set to be bettered by the Neapolitans.

I've also been seeing some stuff about Recoba possibly moving to Napoli. If that happens, I wouldn't complain.

De Laurentiis said the other day that he's working on signing three players for Napoli and there's a lot of talk about several players being linked, so hopefully he can get it done. Just today Channel 4 reported that Napoli may buy Bernardo Corradi from Manchester City to reunite him with former teammate Paolo Cannavaro.

In addition to Recoba, Cesar told tuttomercatoweb.com in an interview that he wants a move from Inter to Napoli. Matteo Brighi's agent says that his client wants a move from Roma to Napoli. Supposedly Napoli is trying to get Marcelo Zalayeta from Juve. Sampdoria's Emiliano Bonazzoli is said to be a target. Several sources claimed that Piacenza's Daniele Cacia and Houssine Kharja were Napoli targets. Penarol's Diego Rodriguez, who has the same agent as Gargano, has also been mentioned. Supposedly Reja is trying to set up a loan deal for Torino's Simone Barone and acquire Chievo Verona's Erjon Bogdani, who he has worked with before. So the next couple of weeks could be very interesting!

A bit more info about the Recoba/Cesar situation:

Napoli are making an audacious double bid for Inter duo Alvaro Recoba and Cesar Aparecido.

Il Chino has spent the last 10 years at San Siro, but never quite delivered on his promise due to injury and inconsistency.

With the arrival of so many star players, he has less and less space to shine, so is expected to leave this summer.

Recoba had publicly confessed his desire to reunite with Walter Novellino, the Coach who helped him through the best period of his career when they were at Venezia in 1999.

However, Torino are unwilling to match his wages and the deal does not look set to reach a conclusion.

Instead, Napoli have stepped forward and are ready to make a firm bid for the Uruguayan enigma.

His contract expires in 2008 and it is possible Inter will agree to release Recoba a year early for a minimal fee.

Napoli are also interested in making it a double swoop, as winger Cesar has impressed in pre-season friendlies and is available for transfer.

The Brazilian – who moved from Lazio in January 2006 only to be released on loan to Corinthians and then Livorno – wants to prove he is still the player who did so well at the Stadio Olimpico for four and a half seasons.

Meanwhile, Inter are looking to yet more South American talents. Having lost Alexandre Pato to rivals Milan, they are tracking Boca Juniors youngster Nicolas Gaitan instead.

It's nice to know he would be so happy with a move to Napoli. It remains to be seen, of course, how much interest Napoli has in him.

According to channel4, Napoli and Parma have come to an agreement on the transfer of Matteo Contini.

Napoli are set to make Parma midfielder Matteo Contini a contract offer after agreeing a fee with the Ducali.

Azzurri President Aurelio De Laurentiis revealed after the Birra Moretti Trophy that the Partneopei would add three more players before the start of the new campaign.

As talks with Roma’s Matteo Brighi seem to have been scuppered by unforseen complications, it seems that their next choice will be the 27-year-old ex-Livorno man.

“He is one of the most interesting players we have watched,” boss Edy Reja revealed. “We need a right-sided player, but it doesn’t matter if he is left-footed as many left-footed players play on the right and strikers like it when they cut inside.”

It has been suggested that Napoli may be ready to offer as much as £2m for the Milan youth product with a four-year contract on the table.

Meanwhile, there is increasing speculation that the Vesuviani will turn to Piacenza’s Daniele Cacia to solve their striker shortage.

Cacia is regarded as one of Serie B’s most promising talents after hitting 32 goals in 65 games for the Papaveri over the last two seasons.
