Hmm I see where you are coming from. Maybe next year with their new acquisitions they can finish in the top 4.?

Hehe
Hopefully, but all the big guns in Italy will rusty a lot for next season. And the best will get better.
Had been extreamly fun with Samp in the CL again.

I have a feeling Milan will improve from last season but Fiorentina will fall below Sampdoria.

Had Cassano not acted like a prick you might have finished higher.
However, he won you a lot of points too.

No, no, no.
Fiorentina are a good few years ahead of Sampdoria when it comes to challenging the top four (hence why they're in the CL).

They just finished 4th, why would they now drop to 7th?
Already they've made some big signings, Gilardino being one.
The money they get from playing in the CL will only make them stronger and in truth they're only a few players short of being able to compete with the big boys.

Samp sign Sammarco
Sampdoria have bought full rights to co-owned midfielder Paolo Sammarco after agreeing a fee with Milan.
The promising 25-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season at Marassi last term and was a regular starter for sixth-placed Samp.
The Blucerchiati are ready to pay Milan around £2m for their 50 per cent share of Sammarco.
After growing up in the Rossoneri youth system, Sammarco was sent out on loan to Serie C sides Viterbese and Prato before getting his break with Chievo.
He now leaves Milan’s pay roll without ever having made a professional appearance for the Diavolo.
Meanwhile, Samp are reportedly tracking Juventus striker Raffaele Palladino and Torino's Azzurrini defender Marco Motta.

Samp deny Adri interest Thursday 5 June, 2008
Sampdoria have issued a statement refuting that they are planning a bid for Inter outcast Adriano.
L’Imperatore’s future is up in the air as he completes a successful loan spell at Sao Paulo.
The departure of Coach Roberto Mancini may have opened the Nerazzurri door for Adri, given his well-publicised disagreements with his former boss, but there’s still an abundance of marksmen in the Beneamata ranks.
After the successful rejuvenation of Antonio Cassano at Marassi, there had been widespread rumours that they would try to repeat the feat with Adriano, but those whispers have been extinguished.
“With reference to recent news published in various sources recently, Sampdoria would like to deny any interest in Inter’s Adriano, even though we recognise his qualities,” a statement from Samp reads.
Sampdoria are also being linked to unsettled Juventus striker Raffaele Palladino.
