I will see this game tonight, but it looks like Milan is back firing again.
You could say the experiment worked with three strikers? Did they use that formaton?

It's was more like a 4-3-2-1 to be honest.
Gilardino started the game as the lone striker with Seedorf and Kaka playing off him until Oliveira came on in the second half. It seemed to work though.

So Carlo backs off on claim to use three strikers..typical. Well it worked, they will go on a tear to be back top four or even higher now.

As I've been saying all season I really can't see them finishing any lower than 4th.

Never say never.
This was their first victory against a "good" side. Lets see how they do in rematch with Lazio, Inter, Roma and Palermo. That will probably determine the outcomes.

They lost to all the big teams within the space of a few weeks, it was when they were out of form and low in confidence. I think they'll fair a little better in the return games.

Glad to see Gila getting some goals...he's such a great player. Was the PK deserved? looks like Milan have found a little streak going...hopefully it continues into 07!

Quote:
Udinese hire De Agostini
Tuesday 2 January, 2007
Former Italian international left-back Luigi De Agostini has been named as the new team manager of Udinese.
The Serie A side made the surprise announcement this evening as the club’s backroom staff reconstruction continues.
De Agostini, who played for Udinese, will act as a middleman between the squad and Coach Giovanni Galeone.
The ex-player, who was born in April 1961, also appeared for Trento, Catanzaro, Verona, Juventus, Inter and Reggiana during his career.
De Agostini, a 1990 World Cup star who missed in the semi-final penalty shoot-out against Argentina, will be unveiled to the media at a Press conference on Wednesday morning.
The media gathering will also be used as an official presentation for Aleksandar Lukovic. The Serbian defender, 24, has returned to the club after being loaned to Ascoli last summer.

I see this as a good move for Udinese, De Agostini was a great player back in the day.
I hope their good season continues.

The problem is that their key players and coaches have left at the wrong time while big name players like Iaquinta have had major contract issues with the club. Spalletti had them working well a couple of years ago with Iaquinta up front with Di Michele and Di Natale supporting him and Pizarro controlling the midfield. And don't forget they had Jankulovski too. At the moment they're just having to rebuild.
