Czech Under-21 international and former Celtic target Michal Kadlec could be set for a move to the Bundesliga after German media reports linked him with Wolfsburg.

Michal - son of Czech legend Miroslav Kadlec, who spent large parts of his career with German outfit Kaiserslautern — currently stars for capital club Sparta Prague and is seen as one of his country's most promising talents.

The talented left back had been in talks with Scottish giants Celtic this summer, but the transfer failed to materialise and he could now be tempted to move to Germany instead.

According to reports emanating from Germany, the left back features high on the shopping list of Wolves coach Klaus Augenthaler, who recently travelled to Prague for Sparta’s goalless Uefa Cup tie against Ajax in order to watch the 21-year-old in action.

While Celtic’s interest seems to have died down, Wolfsburg could face competition from Bundesliga rivals Hannover and Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg if they want to land their man.

Mlada Boleslav striker Marek Kulic is expected to leave the Czech outfit in January, with Wolfsburg known to be interested.

Kulic has made no secret of his desire to move abroad in the past and the player's agent Zdenek Kudela has confirmed Wolves' interest.

"Yes, we have been in talks with this German club," Kudela revealed.

However, the Czech Republic international is adamant he knows nothing of a possible move to the Bundesliga.

"I can't solve it," Kulic said. "There have always been reports about me moving elsewhere, but I really know nothing at the moment."

Wolfsburg have also recently been linked with Sparta Prague defender Michal Kadlec.

Kickers Offenbach, the only 2. Bundesliga side left in the competition, host last year's finalists Eintracht Frankfurt in a potentially explosive Hessian derby.

Nuremberg host Hannover

Alemannia Aachen, who pulled off the shock result of the last round when they eliminated champions Bayern, have to travel to Wolfsburg, while in another match of two Bundesliga sides Nuremberg host Hannover 96.

The last time a Hessian derby between Frankfurt and Offenbach was played was in September 2003 in the first round of the DFB Cup. Eintracht Frankfurt then won the 143th Hessian derby by beating Offenbach at their ground on penalties.

In summerly conditions (22 degrees Celsius) Liege took an 18-minute lead through Marouane Fellaini.

Facundo Quiroga equalised for VfL four minutes after the break, but Costa Dante Bonfim fired home a corner to secure victory for the Belgians after 54 minutes.
