Though, the coach should do better than this imo.

I doubt it, not many quality players would want to join them in their current situation anyway.

Of course, but experienced proven players are less likely to move to a club like HSV.

Mario Fillinger underwent successful knee surgery on Wednesday.

The young HSV midfielder tore his meniscus in a collision during training on Monday.

45 minutes

The tear was repaired in an operation which took 45 minutes. The surgery was performed by the HSV team physician Dr. Oliver Dierk.

"There were no complications", said Dierk after the operation.

Fillinger will leave hospital on Friday and is expected to be out of first team action for up to twelve weeks.

HSV skipper Rafael van der Vaart has been suspended following his sending off in Bochum. Juan Pablo Sorin suffered yet another injury.

HSV will be without their skipper Rafael van der Vaart for their next four Bundesliga games.

The DFB handed the Dutch international midfielder a four match ban following his dismissal in Bochum at the weekend, for an awful two-footed challenge from behind.

Additionally, Juan Pablo Sorin will not play again this year.

The Argentinian tore a muscle fibre in his left calf on Saturday.
