Arsenal were the favourites to go through, but I also thought that HSV would give a fight to Porto and CSKA.
It's sad to see such a quality team go down this way.
I hope they can recover, because I doubt that their top stars would like to play in the 2nd division.

I also think they will recover in 2007, but they will miss Europe for sure, which is very bad, since HSV is one of Bundesliga's top sides.
How about sacking Thomas Doll ?

Maybe, but you have to take the injuries into account.

I know the injuries have been a major problem, but if he doesn't get HSV winning again, why should he stay ?
Plus, if they don't start winning now, one can only imagine what could happen.

That's true but what can he do when most of his key players are injured?
It's not his fault, he can only do the best he can with the players he's got to work with.
