VfB Stuttgart sporting director Horst Heldt says he hopes have the future of Germany's number two goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand sorted out at some stage in December.
The highly rated shot-stopper is highly regarded throughout Europe, and is out of contract at the end of the season.
"It remains out goal that we can explain at some stage in December what the situation is, I do not want to confirm or deny anything anything else at this stage, and there is no firm date set in December for a decision," said Heldt.
It is believed that Stuttgart are eager to tie Hildebrand down to a long-term four year contract at the club.
However, Hildebrand is said to be keener on a shorter two year deal, and may in fact decided to leave the club altogether.

VfB head coach Armin Veh was missing quite a few players in training on Tuesday.
Jon Dahl Tomasson (ligament tear) and Serdar Tasci (achilles) were joined by Cacau and Marco Streller who were both feeling the effects of a flu bug.
Khedira and Farnerud return
Timo Hildebrand, Matthieu Delpierre and Roberto Hilbert made the session but all three were also under the weather.
On the positive side, Sami Khedira and Alexander Farnerud both returned to team training meaning only Tomasson will definitely miss Saturday's final home game of 2006 against VfL Bochum.

Dr. Dieter Hundt unanimously confirmed as chairman of the board at Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart.
The board of VfB Stuttgart, elected for a four-year term at the club's general meeting on October 30th 2006, gathered for its constitutive conference on Saturday, December 9th. At the conference, Dr. Dieter Hundt was unanimously re-elected chairman of the board of directors. Dr. Joachim Schmidt was also reconfirmed in the post of vice-chairman.
Solid and forward-looking fiscal policy
Dr. Hundt said, "As has been the case in the past, the board will continue to focus on ensuring VfB Stuttgart operates within the terms of a solid and forward-looking fiscal policy, incorporating a degree of calculated risk. In addition, we will give the highest priority to ensuring the club's success on the pitch and last but not least we will be closely scrutinising the city authorities' plans for the Gottlieb-Daimler stadium. Further development of our home ground is of central importance to the club's sporting and economic future."

Jon Dahl Tomasson was all alone on the training pitch for an extra shift while the rest of his VfB colleagues could enjoy a day off after their win against Bochum.
The Dane is shaking off the effects of flu and a ligament injury in the hope of re-joining his team mates on the pitch soon.
Whether or not Tomasson will play against this year remains to be seen.

I hope Stuttgart will finish before 04 in the league. But I think Bayern will come after Christmas and win the whole shit.

Schalke are looking strong though.
I feel that Bremen are too strong this season.
Stuttgart might get 3rd place.

We can't write off Bayern yet. 04 have been great this season and Bremen too, but I "fear" seen with Bremen eyes that Bayern will fight back in '07.
I don't think Stuttgart will finish top three either, but I have taken wrong before :P

Bayern are always the best team, but they still haven't perform well, their last game against Cottbus was poor.
Schalke will start losing, then it will be between Bayern and Bremen.
Stuttgart might have luck and get 3rd place.
Btw, if Hildebrand leaves, what will happen to Stuttgart ?

Well, I'm sure they'll get in an approved and good replacer.

Hildebrand is a top keeper, he can't be replaced.

They'll perhaps not get a new Hildebrand in the coming future, but if they can get in a good goali, I don't think they will suffer so much if Timo is leaving.
He will for sure be the next Bayern goali, or?
