Yes ... literaly everyone!

Its just copy and paste ... no real trouble or time consuming, but its interesting because despite the low interest inthe Greek league in General there are foreign players playing here people want to ask about, Greek Teams do meed foreign teams in european cups, the NT too, and of course (and on this you are the expert I guess ) there is the betting which knows no borders!

What do you reckon? Will we manage to go to Portugal this Saturday vs. N. Ireland?

Default GREECE- EURO CHAMPIONS 04

GREECE-N.IRELAND

The final countdown for Greece, who is 90 minutes away from Portugal!
Against all odds, Greece is standing proudly on top of their Group, leaving behind the grand favorite Spain. All we need is to win our last match against Northern Ireland at home, in order to get qualification. «You have defeated them in Belfast, now you have to defeat them again in Athens. You have the chance to write history», said coach Otto Rehagel to his players.
The only missing player is defender Kirgiakos (injured). The most probable line-up is: Nikopolidis – Dellas, Kapsis, Antzas, Fyssas, Seitaridis – Basinas, Giannakopoulos, Tsiartas – Charisteas, Vryzas.
On Saturday, 15.000 flags and 10.000 scarves will be offered as a gift to the spectators and for the first time the new anthem for the Greek National Football Team by Mikis Theodorakis will be heard. Needless to say that there is not a ticket left and everything is ready for the big fiesta.
500 million Euros await the Greek players. This is the bonus for the Qualification to the EURO 2004 in Portugal.

N.Ireland has forgotten when it was the last time that they scored a goal. Check out their latest matches:
17/04/2002 N.Ireland-Spain: 0-5 (Friendly)
21/08/2002 N.Ireland-Cyprus: 0-0 (Friendly)
12/10/2002 Spain-N.Ireland: 3-0 (Euro Qualifiers)
16/10/2002 N.Ireland-Ukraine: 0-0 (Euro Qualifiers)
12/02/2003 N.Ireland-Finland: 0-1 (Friendly)
29/03/2003 Armania-N.Ireland: 1-0 (Euro Qualifiers)
02/04/2003 N.Ireland-Greece: 0-2 (Euro Qualifiers)
03/06/2003 Italy-N.Ireland: 0-2 (Friendly)
11/06/2003 N.Ireland-Spain: 0-0 (Euro Qualifiers)
06/09/2003 Ukraine-N.Ireland: 0-0 (Euro Qualifiers)
10/09/2003 N.Ireland-Armenia: 0-1 (Euro Qualifiers)

Coach McIlroy has many players missing: midfielders Daugherty (injured), Mulryne (injured) Johnson (suspended) and striker McVeigh (injured). However the Captain of the team, Keith Gillesby, is fit and he will play.

Go HELLAS!

Yeah Greece won and only because they had a Penalty and N. Ireland had 10 men.

Spain will still get there dont worry, and Greece will be knocked out of the first round of Euro 2004!! (no sour grapes or nothing )

The fans of N. Ireland were simply amazing! They were chanting for their team all game long, greeted all good efforts from both sides with applauses and gave a warm applause to our NT at the end! Default Day 7

In the result of the day, PAOK, who have countless problems of playing and financial nature this year, managed to win away to OFI with the convincing 0-3 result! However, the way this happened was both amazing and sad! Three! Yes 3! PAK players were severelly injured in the first 5 minutes of the game! Especially Dimitris Markos will miss the rest of the championship while Spacic and Egomitis look at more than 3-4 week off each!

Well done to PAOK for the result but really bad luck for the rest of the upcoming games!

Panathinaikos lost away to the surprisingly good Egaleo (or Aigaleo) and lost the top spot to Olympiakos who managed an anxious 2-0 home win against Kallithea. The 18 yr. old upcoming star Kastillo (born in Uruguay) scored again!

AEK, managed a much needed away win at thessaloniki against Aris, and put a stop to a chain of bad results.

Panionios won 2-1 in a thrilling match against Iralklis. The hosts made it 1-1 in the 87th minute but the home site kept pressing and managed to retake the lead deep into injury time!

Day 7 Results

Paniliakos - Proodeftiki 4-1
Chalkidona - Ionikos 3-2
OFI - PAOK 0-3
Panionios - Iraklis 2-1
Aris - AEK 1-2
Olympiakos - Kallithea 2-0
SCODA Xanthi - Akratitos 2-0
Aigaleo - Panathinaikos 2-1
