Clube Desportivo Trofense (IPA: ['klub(ɨ) dɨʃpuɾ'tivu tru'fẽs(ɨ)]), commonly known just by Trofense is a Portuguese sports club from the city of Trofa. Its foundation goes back to 1930. Its colours are red and blue.

In the 2005-2006 season, Trofense played in the Portuguese Second Division Serie A, which they won by a margin of 6 points. They progressed to a playoff that decided promotion to the second division, with Serie B winners AD Lousada. Trofense won in a very emotional game, only decided on the 20th penalty, scored by goalkeeper Vítor.

In 2007-08 (having achieved a final 11th league place the previous season), Trofense achieved a first ever promotion to the first division.

Delfim é o quarto reforço
O médio Delfim, de 31 anos, é o mais recente reforço do Trofense, anunciou hoje o seu novo clube. Depois da contratação dos defesas Areias e Miguel Ângelo e do avançado uruguaio Marcelo Lipatin, Delfim assinou o campeão da Liga Vitalis por uma época.

Na época anterior, Delfim representou a Naval, depois de se ter estreado ao serviço do Boavista em 1996. Delfim já representou clubes como o Sporting, e chegou mesmo a representar a selecção B, mas uma grave lesão, ao serviço dos franceses do Marselha, obrigou-o a uma paragem de três anos. Depois de recuperar da lesão, Delfim ingressou no clube da Figueira da Foz, onde jogou durante uma época e meia (23 jogos).

O Trofense continua no mercado e regressa ao trabalho no dia 7 de Julho, com a realização de exames médicos ao plantel. No dia 10, têm início os treinos da equipa.

Os jogos de preparação já agendados são: 19 de Julho contra o Aves, 23 de Julho em Gondomar, no dia 26 de Julho o Trofense participa na apresentação do Setúbal, e em Agosto realizará jogos com Leixões (dia 2), Nacional (dia 7) e Rio Ave (dia 9).

Caiado ready to signed a 3 yr deal with Trofense

David Caiado vai assinar por três temporadas com o Trofense. A confirmação é feita pelo próprio jogador. "Ainda não assinei, mas está tudo bem encaminhado para me comprometer por três anos", adiantou o jovem de 21 anos, que alinhou no Estoril nas duas últimas épocas, emprestado pelo Sporting.

Caiado é um extremo que joga em qualquer das alas. Na época passada, esteve cinco meses lesionado e só jogou três vezes. Esse facto motivou os leões a não renovarem o seu contrato.

Ainda em matéria de reforços, o técnico Toni viaja hoje para o Senegal, onde se encontrará com Norton de Matos, responsável por escolas de futebol naquele país. O técnico observará jogadores e, se gostar de algum, avançará para a sua contratação .

Noutro plano, Rui Borges, jogador que esteve cedido ao Moreirense, formalizou ontem a rescisão contratual. O extremo tem as portas abertas do Gondomar, mas também tem propostas do estrangeiro. Hoje definirá o seu futuro.

Tiago Pinto, the 19-year old son of Joao Pinto, will likely be loaned by Sporting C.P. to newly promoted Trofense. Last year, Tiago had a great season on loan with Olivais e Moscavide (II).
