I saw the Leiria goals but not the Marítimo one. They were good goals, Marcos made an excellent penalty save and nearly saved the rebond.

Uniao Leiria will compete in the Intertoto Cup, will starter the season on the 1st of July, last time Uniao Leiria compete in the Intertoto Cup they won both games but lost because they had a illegal player Douala, they will play in the 3rd round of the competion on the 17 or 18 of June away and at home on the 24 th of July

O Leiria vai voltar a marcar presença na Taça Intertoto, depois de na época passada ter tido uma breve participação na Taça UEFA. As recordações do ano de estreia não são as melhores, já que a equipa ficou-se pela primeira ronda, perdendo na secretaria. A inscrição (ilegal) de Douala, contratado naquela época, levou a UEFA a "eliminar" os leirienses. Para a preparação da da prova, o Leiria tem duas semanas. A equipa apresenta-se no dia 1 de Julho, tendo agendada a primeira mão da terceira eliminatória para o dia 17 ou 18. O adversário só será conhecido depois de disputadas duas rondas. Na primeira joga uma equipa da Hungria contra outra da Checoslováquia. A apurada dos dois encontros terá pela frente uma formação da Rússia e será a vencedora deste jogo irá defrontar o União de Leiria.

O conjunto de Vítor Pontes joga primeiro fora de casa, estando a segunda mão marcada para o dia 24 de Julho, no Estádio Municipal de Leiria. O objectivo para estes dois jogos é ter o plantel 2004/05 praticamente definido, para fazer uma boa campanha que sirva também de preparação para a Superliga.
