Já está mais do que definido o perfil de um reforço que a Académica considera essencial, sobretudo se Joeano, dos quadros do Beitar (Israel), não continuar: um avançado goleador, que não deixe dúvidas sobre o que vale, de preferência capaz de, consoante as necessidades ou o esquema táctico, jogar solto e aparecer na área. Mesmo depois de uma triagem apertada, ainda são vários os jogadores que encaixam nesse perfil, mas os dirigentes do clube de Coimbra querem escolher ao pormenor, sem quaisquer precipitações, até porque a contenção financeira a isso obriga. Praticamente certos estão os jovens esquerdinos Hélder Barbosa – que já jogou até Novembro, quando se lesionou gravemente, pela Briosa – e Ivanildo, ambos por empréstimo do FC Porto, compensando a perda de Lino; assim, caso N´Doye e Filipe Teixeira não saiam (o que ainda não é completamente líquido), o plantel fica quase fechado. Um plantel renovado e maioritariamente português, numa alteração da gestão desportiva.

Afinal, a novela Dame ainda não acabou. O jovem jogador senegalês tinha (e tem) tudo certo para ser reforço do Panathinaikos, falta é saber se pode sê-lo sem que a Académica seja compensada – e bem. De resto, a incerteza não agrada nada ao clube grego e já se admite que Dame continue em Coimbra. A Briosa, recorde-se, foi reagindo tranquilamente aos desenvolvimentos do caso e, antes de mais, foi lembrando que o senegalês ainda tem mais dois anos de contrato. Uma dúvida – porque Dame diz-se disponível a custo zero, considerando sem validade a cláusula de opção para prolongar o vínculo – que já implicou o recurso, por parte do clube de Coimbra, à FIFA.
