Jorginho garantido por duas épocas

O Vitória de Setúbal garantiu a contratação de Jorginho, defesa de 29 anos que, nas duas últimas temporadas, representou o Estoril. Tal como O JOGO avançara atempadamente, o acordo com o atleta estava por horas e só não foi selado na passada segunda-feira devido ao atribulado dia dos sadinos, em torno da falhada penhora dos bens da SAD do clube, devido a uma dívida de cerca de 400 mil euros relativa aos direitos desportivos do antigo jogador Velli Kassumov.

Assim, Jorginho vai, esta tarde, deslocar-se à SAD vitoriana para selar um acordo com o emblema sadino para as próximas duas temporadas. O atleta, formado nas escolas do Vasco da Gama de Sines, de onde é natural, fez quase todo o seu percurso nas divisões secundárias. Além disso, teve ainda uma passagem fugaz pelo futebol italiano, tendo representado o Modena. Quanto ao período em que defendeu as cores do clube canarinho, Jorginho actuou como central, mas vai ser aposta de Carlos Carvalhal para o lado esquerdo da retaguarda, onde irá disputar a titularidade com o brasileiro Adalto. Jorginho poderá não ser o único a vincular-se amanhã ao Setúbal, já que os responsáveis da SAD vitoriana estão a envidar esforços para garantir outros reforços. Até ao final da semana, esperam-se mais novidades. Paulo Sampaio (Rifa), adjunto de Carvalhal, já regressou do Brasil, mas a SAD ainda tem outros trunfos na manga.

Portuguese fixtures and venue confirmed

Cardiff City's two matches in Portugal in July will be played at the Estádio Nacional in Oeiras.




City will play a Portuguese Select XI on Wednesday July 11th, ko 5.30pm and then follow that with a game against Vitória de Setúbal on Saturday July 14th ko 10am. Both games will be played at the same venue.

The Estádio Nacional was the venue of Celtic's European Cup triumph in 1967. It's the traditional home of the Portuguese Cup. It's also known as Estádio do Jamor. It is located in the Jamor sports complex, in Oeiras, near Lisbon. A selection of pictures of the ground can be found here.

Próxima semana deverá trazer mais novidades


A pouco mais de uma semana do início dos trabalhos da temporada 2007/08, o plantel do Vitória de Setúbal está longe de estar fechado. Até ao momento estão garantidos cinco reforços: Matheus e Eduardo (ex-Beira-Mar), Elias (ex-Paços Ferreira), Filipe Gonçalves (ex-Leixões) e Jorginho (ex-Estoril).

O técnico Carlos Carvalhal espera poder reforçar a equipa com mais sete ou oito atletas, sendo que a maioria dos quais já se encontram referenciados. No início da próxima semana são esperadas novidades, nomeadamente para o sector atacante, um dos que neste momento está mais carenciado.

O JOGO sabe que para estão vários jogadores referenciados para o ataque e que alguns dos negócios estão praticamente concluídos. Todavia, nomes só depois de tudo estar preto no branco, já que alguns dos atletas pretendidos têm sido bastante assediados por outros emblemas.

Gama is a huge profit.I don't think him playing in Porto is a good idea.They have so many great players and do they really want to have him rot on the bench?
