He is/was.
Problem is that he had already played for 2 different clubs this season, before representing Belenenses (third club). According to a FIFA rule, a player is only allowed to play for 2 clubs in one season.

The league should have deducted the points at the begining of next season though. It is unfair taking points so late in the season when they are fighting for a UEFA Cup spot.

the screw up themeselves, the director the did it, resigned a couple days over it
usually what goes around comes around
remember the Mateus case with Gil Vicente?
Gil Vicente went down and they had more points then Belenenses

It´s a shame, os Belenenses are a great team with a lot of history. Maybe next year they will be back in form and make it to Europe. But the good thing about this situation is that it gives Setubal, Maritimo, and Braga a chance for UEFA Cup

in Portugal very few fans dislike Belenenses
but they got a huge problem they got 17 players on the free agent list, half of the team going to follow Jorge Jesus to Braga
