Forest move for Jackson!
Just had the officail text form the club on my mobile. Kinnear has made a move for Spurs midfielder Jonnie Jackson!
And they are considering it as they have brought in several Midfielders through the summer!
Come on JK, Pull this one off!

I've just seen it on Bloomingforest.
Would be a class signing, especially if Brown comes as well. It's all part of the Reid deal, hense Reidy didn't play last night coz he'd of been cup tied.

Todays evening post, seems the cup tie thing isnt true!
I hope we can get them both, but one would be good........
KINNEAR ADAMANT REID JUST NEEDED A REST
Nottingham Forest 2 v 0 Scunthorpe Utd
Nottingham Forest manager Joe Kinnear was adamant Andy Reid's absence from the 2-0 victory against Scunthorpe in the first round of the Carling Cup was not the first act of his City Ground swansong.
Reid's name has been linked to a number of Premiership sides as the transfer window begins to draw to a close, but Kinnear insists the prospect of his chief asset becoming cup-tied played no part in his decision.
Without Reid, Forest made hard work of the League Two leaders but eventually progressed thanks to goals from Gareth Taylor and Marlon King.
"Andy has been away with Ireland and needed a rest - nothing more than that," said Kinnear. "People will write rubbish about him being cup-tied and there's nothing you can do about that - they are morons.
"I told Reidy about last week that he wasn't going to play so there was nothing mysterious about it.
"The situation hasn't changed. Until we get #5million he is still a Nottingham Forest player."
Kinnear also revealed he has approached Tottenham with an offer for young midfielder Johnnie Jackson.
The Forest boss is keen to bring in Jackson, either on loan or permanently, and expects an answer within the next 48 hours.
The arrival of Michael Carrick at White Hart Lane has pushed Jackson further down the pecking order at White Hart Lane and Kinnear remains optimistic about his chances.
He said: "I spoke to Chris Hughton for ages. Jackson is not in their side and I enquired about taking him but it's still in the early stages.
"They've bought Carrick and a lot of midfield players and they are thinking about it."
Kinnear admitted his side had not been at their best against an organised Scunthorpe side.
He added: "We knew it was not going to be easy but they never really threatened us. We've played better this season but we've done enough to win the match and that's the main thing."
Scunthorpe manager Brian Laws was given a warm reception on his return to the club where he lifted the League Cup twice as a player.
Laws insists his side can draw plenty of positives from their performance.
"They have absolutely nothing to be down about," he said.
"Apart from the two mistakes it was hard to tell the difference between the sides and there will be a lot of 'what ifs' on the way home."

JK has already said he can get him without selling Reidy!
If brown is coming in, reid will be off as part of THAT deal!

I'm a Spurs fan and seeing as you don't seem to have much of an idea of what Jackson is like I'll shed some light.
For a Premier League team he is a below-par back-up player (just my opinion). Andy Reid is better. He'd do a decent job for Forest in Div 1 though but he wouldn't score the 10+ goals a season that Reidy gets.
He has average pace and although he tries to dribble it isn't one of his strengths. He is capable of putting in nice crosses but usually he over/under hits them. He takes some of Spurs' corners thought and he usually delivers something acceptable for the players in the box.
His passing is average, his tackling is sub-standard and his amazing goal vs. Charlton was a fluke in my opinion.
His stamina is good though and he makes plenty of runs that pull defenders away.
He's not Prem quality yet, although if he is trained and improves considerably he could be.
And as for Brown is we can get Reidy for him you please take him, he's nothing special in the Premeir League.

I'd gladly take brown of ur hands m8, but I don't think he wants to take a pay cut. Anyway, cheers for the info on jackson, n I'm pretty sure that if anyone can give him a kick up the backside can than BFJ can.
Cheers for the info m8!

Yeah thanks for the info mate, Although you seem prety sure Reid will be a spurs player. Im not so sure as Jk has said in yesterdays paper he can get jackson without selling reidy!
But if you offer 4m and Brown, ill take that. Only for the simple fact that reid dosent want to be a championship player. And good luck to him, he deserves the step up if you ask me!
Come on joe, bring the jackson in this week!
