Canaries eye up Wolves striker
Norwich have run an eye over Wolves striker Vio Ganea, the Wolverhampton Express and Star reported yesterday.
But Dave Jones' side are sweating on interest from Charlton and West Brom as well as possibly the Canaries for the 30-year-old Romanian international as they plan for the possible departure of Henri Camara, who submitted a transfer request over the weekend.
That request was rejected, but Ganea's importance to Wolves is rising all the time as interest mounts in Camara, who has been linked with a move to Bolton.
Ganea's agent Gary Williams said yesterday: "I sat down with Jez (Moxey, the chief executive) on Friday and Wolves are very keen to keep Vio, especially with the possibility of Camara leaving.
"If Camara goes, the chances of Vio getting a regular start increase.
"But Norwich and Charlton have also come in. There's a lot of interest but he's happy at Wolves and I would expect him to stay unless the other offers are better.
"The way things stand (at Wolves) at the moment, Vio would have to take a pay cut."
Ganea, whop scored three goals in 16 appearances after joining Wolves in January, is currently in Romania preparing for Thursday's international friendly in the Republic of Ireland, where a clutch of clubs will watch him in action.
Williams will discuss the various offers after the game, but doesn't expect a drawn out process.
"If it's Wolves, we'll sign within two weeks," added Williams.
"We don't want to keep people waiting."
