Iwan named captain for his last game
MANAGER Nigel Worthington today revealed that parting Norwich City legend Iwan Roberts will start Sunday's final game of the season at Crewe (1pm).
Breaking with his traditional silence over team selection, Worthington also revealed that Roberts would don the skipper's armband for his final farewell in Norwich colours.
"The one thing that I can guarantee you on Sunday is that Iwan Roberts will start the game and Iwan Roberts will be captain for the day," said Worthington. "He deserves it and hopefully this will be a fitting way for him to leave the football club. It will be nice for him and he deserves it."
Roberts' final appearance apart, Worthington confirmed that City will head for Gresty Road with a fully-fit squad to select from.
And nor are Norwich about to put their feet up just because both promotion and title are in the bag.
"I'm delighted that everything's being achieved," said Worthington. "I just want to finish the season off with a win on Sunday."
