Post easton's contract terminated

EASTON CONTRACT TERMINATED

NORWICH CITY today announced that midfielder Clint Easton's contract has been terminated by mutual consent.

Having joined the Canaries in a £100,000 move from First Division rivals Watford during the summer of 2001, Clint featured in the Canaries' run to the 2002 play-off final and during the 2002-2003 campaign, playing both wide on the left and also in a more central role.

However, this season his appearances have been limited, with Clint featuring in City Boss Nigel Worthington's first team plans only 11 times during this season's promotion winning campaign.

In total the former England Under-20 player has made 57 appearances (11 as substitute) for the Canaries, scoring 5 goals.

Canaries Manager Nigel Worthington said: "Clint's first team appearances have been restricted this season and we felt it would be in both parties' best interests to go our separate ways, to give Clint the opportunity of regular first team football. Our very best wishes go with him."

Clint commented: "I have enjoyed my time with the Club. Norwich City is a great club with great supporters and I wish them well next season. This move gives me the opportunity to re-establish myself next season."

no great loss really. hope it all goes well for him though.
