Gallacher joins Pars on loan

Norwich City goalkeeper Paul Gallacher has joined Dunfermline Athletic on loan until January.

The Scotland international has lost his place at Carrow Road to David Marshall and has been allowed to link up with Dunfermline until the New Year.

Pars boss Stephen Kenny, who is plotting the club's return to the SPL, is happy to have been able to secure a keeper of Gallacher's calibre.

"Paul was available on loan and it was a good opportunity to get him," Kenny told the club's official website.

"We didn't have international clearance to play him (against Livingston on Saturday), but I just wanted to make sure that we had two goalkeepers.

"Paul will be a good signing. We are lucky to get someone as experienced as that."
