Peter Grant has confirmed Norwich midfielder Mark Fotheringham is facing a spell out.

Fotheringham injured ankle ligaments after coming on as a substitute in The Canaries' 2-1 win over Southampton on Saturday.

The former Celtic man will be sidelined for a while, according to Grant, who has seen his midfield options weakened further.

"He's going to be out for a period of time," Grant said. "It's a blow for the player who has worked extremely hard.

"He came on on Saturday and helped swing the game for us and it's a real blow to lose him."

With Fotheringham out, Grant has only Darel Russell and Julien Brellier as recognised central midfielders available for the weekend's game with Hull City.

he came on saturday and changed the way we was playing he added a brilliant touch in our team

sadly he got taken off to but a brilliant player

hopefully he recovers quickly

also on that note...The Huckerby played 55 mins in last nights reserve game Vs. Luton (we won 4-0)
