Grant confirms Sutton desire
Quote:
Norwich manager Peter Grant has admitted he would love to lure Chris Sutton back to Carrow Road.
The 34-year-old is currently with Aston Villa - who he joined last October.
However, he barely featured in the latter part of the season due to an ongoing problem with his vision.
Sutton is set to decide on his long-term future over the summer, but the former England international could be tempted by a return to Norfolk - the club he began his distinguished career with.
"I would certainly always be interested if Chris Sutton became available - I was very surprised Norwich didn't take him last year," Grant told the Eastern Daily Press.
"I like to see young players come through into my teams, but I love experience as well - you could see that we were missing it last season when we didn't have the experience to go on and win some games."
"I saw him play for Celtic and then for Aston Villa and he is definitely someone I would be interested in."

Do Norwich have a target striker? They can play Dublin though but I think they have more need for him as centre half.I've never seen Martin play so I don't know what kind of striker he is.I think Norwich need a type of striker like Sutton.

well Martin has a clever touch
Earnshaw is just a predator infront of goal
Huckerby is just a player who brings out the defence and makes space
not to sure about Sutton ..his best seasons was with us back in the glory early 90's
