Canaries reward young trio

Norwich City have handed professional deals to teenagers Steven Arnold, Patrick Bexfield and Bally Smart.

Of the three youngsters, only striker Smart has made his first team bow for The Canaries after coming on as a late substitute against Burnley in April.

Goalkeeper Arnold and defender Bexfield have clearly done enough in the reserves and youth team to convince manager Peter Grant that they have the necessary quality to make an impact at senior level.

"I think the boys have done very well," Grant told the club's official website.

"I've only come in October and I've seen them a few times, mostly in youth team games, and the boys have done enough to earn that chance and opportunity to come on board.

"I'm pleased for them as there is a lot of effort and commitment from parents pushing them through and helping them and that's what we've got to try and do to - produce more of our own players."

Arnold is on the England international books and will be our number 1 in the future

Smart has been at the club for few years a young South African and had a good game when he came on Vs. Burnley

Bexfield i havent seen much off but im sure he will get a go in the 1st team next season
