Huckerby considers future
Quote:
Darren Huckerby admits he is treating every season at Norwich as his last.
The 31-year-old, who recently won the club's player of the season award, believes he may have to call time on his career sooner rather than later if his chief asset - his pace - becomes less potent.
"I'm going to slow up sooner rather than later, but hopefully they can get another season out of me and maybe one more," Huckerby told the club's official website.
"But at the minute I'm taking every season as it comes. I've got a one-year contract and after that it might be time to hang up my boots."
Meanwhile, Canaries goalkeeper Tony Warner does not know what the future holds despite declaring an intention to remain with the club.
Warner is on loan to the club from Fulham until the end of the season.
"I haven't spoken to anybody. I just don't know," Warner told the Pink'un. "I like it here, I've really enjoyed my time but I haven't been spoken to. It's one of those things.
"The manager could have me in mind, he might have somebody else in mind, so it's unfair to say anything. Who knows? It's a long summer, so let's just see what happens."

yup us Norwich City fans known his future for couple of years now
next season will defintely be his last
he is a great player and has a few years left in him ..his pace is the same as a 18 year old
but fatherhood is needed and its a right decision for a father
Great Player ... Norwich City Legend
lets get promoted next season to send Huckerby off on a high

the magic of Youtube!
Here it is:
YouTube - Darren Huckerby vs Man Utd
a example of Huckerbys solo magic he can produce out of the blue (from top of my head he has done 2 solo goals for us Vs. wigan in 03/04 ..sadly cannot find no clip...and his solo goal Vs. Brum this season ..clip in video part of this forum)
what a player and mostly under rated by most people

If only he could stay on his feet rather than fall at the slightest touch.

well i guess his 1 downfall is better than half of Ipswich's team
you have:
Wilnis who thinks hes superb and better than Huckerby....Huckerby wiped the floor of him on many times and made him look like a little baby (cue a made up pic of wilnis in a baby suit which i sadly cant find!)
Haynes needs to handball the ball into the net because he cant do fuck all over than use his hand
Lee a waste of welsh fat crap all he does is bum the ref because the ref laughed off his pathetic diving and cheating antics
and the old flames:
Counago i think he used to love the grass as he was always jumping on the bloody stuff
Bent (Darren) read same comments as above
so Huckerby isn't all that bad afterall he does have a Div 1 champions medal unlike the ipswich town team
