Result: Burnley 3-0 Norwich City
Scoreline only got that way in the last 5 mins of the game
it was a predicted defeat after the line up got announced
Darren Huckerby injuring his back during Warm up so that took him out of the game
1st 11 looked like a youth game .. 2 off the strikers upfront for us was Kris Renton who is 16 & Chris Martin who is 18 ..combined age of 34!
both played well great news for the future of the club
1-0 down .. Akinbiyi who went through our youth ranks scoring the goal
we didnt really produce only producing easy saves from Burnleys keeper
HT - 1-0 Burnley
2nd half was a little bit better ...Earnie replaces Eagle on 72nd min and shows signs of getting a goal
Burnley finds the net again ..Andy Gray scoring to make it 2-0
introduction of another youth player of ours ..young South African - Bally Smart making his debut for the 1st team and been highly rated as a 1 for the future by Peter Grant ...but it goes tits up ..Burnley makes it 3-0 - Elliott scoring
all these youngsters playing due to our huge injury build up
our subs bench looked like this:
Paul Gallacher (GK) -- ok his in his mid 20's only back up keeper we have
Andrew Cave-Brown - Young defender who is only back from long term injury
Robert Earnshaw - half fit (if that!)
Bally Smart - never even appeared on the subs bench in a 1st team game before
Patrick Bexfield - again never even made a subs appearance for 1st team before
good for the future ..nothing to play for in this game
bring on Ipswich

Grant upset with referee
Quote:
Peter Grant was unhappy with the referee's display in Norwich City's 3-0 defeat at Burnley, whose manager Steve Cotterill has thrown down the gauntlet to his players.
Former Canaries striker Ade Akinbiyi opened the scoring after half-an-hour at Turf Moor before Andy Gray and Wade Elliott scored late on for Burnley.
Norwich boss Grant was happy with his players' performance, despite the result, but was not so enamoured by the display of referee Martin Atkinson.
"The only thing for tonight - yes I hate losing games of football - but if you're going to lose, perform like that and what you need is a little bit of help and honesty from the officials," Grant told Sky Sports News.
"By honesty, I mean by making the correct decision for both teams, not just one.
"They'll be getting the story right in there. You know the usual one, wait half-an-hour - that's not to tell you the truth, that's just so they get the story right."
The result means only a freak set of results could condemn Burnley to relegation, with Cotterill already looking towards next season.
The Clarets boss does not want his players to take their foot off the gas, hinting some are playing for their futures.
Cotterill said: "It's more like the Burnley we had at the beginning of the season.
"Unfortunately, it's too late for us to do anything about it, but, as I've said to the players, everything we do now is towards next season.
"So I don't want to see anybody go missing now because it means they need to be replaced in the summer."
