I wonder why Norwich brought Ashdown on loan.Haven't they a good goalkeeper in Gallacher? It's better to develop own players than others...

well Ashdown has been brought in to test Gallacher for the 1st team spot
at the moment Lee Camp is having back trouble and Joe Lewis is our only player whose fit enough ..but quite young to really put Gallacher through his paces
i think Grant wants someone to challenge Gallacher for the number 1 spot

Final Score: Norwich City 1-0 Cardiff City
Superb result ...and a decent performance in the 1st half ..2nd half we was pretty poor but i'll take the 3 points easily
beat the league leaders and like i said before the game ..we shouldnt be scared of them because there leading the league we have a brilliant record against them ..and we showed it
Good goal by Dicky Etuhu to make the scoreline ...shame about McVeigh after his little scruffle which led him being sent off

Grant wants improvement
Quote:
Norwich inflicted only the second defeat of the season on leaders Cardiff, but new chief Peter Grant feels there is plenty of room for improvement.
Grant's tenure has started well, as Dickson's Etuhu's goal made it two wins out of two since he succeeded Nigel Worthington.
The new Carrow Road chief is refusing to rest on his laurels, as he said: "In the first half we played at a good tempo, we played some good football and created lots of chances and I was very pleased with that.
"But in the second half it was the complete opposite. We stood back and let a very good side dominate us which was very disappointing.
"The players didn't do their jobs properly, they got lazy in their minds and switched off and that is something which I just won't tolerate.
"If you'd offered me six points from games against Birmingham and Cardiff at the start of the week I'd have bitten your hand off but I'm still disappointed at the way we played in the second half.
"I'm pleased with the win but we've got a long way to go yet, that's for sure."
Grant also hit out at Paul McVeigh who was sent off late in the game.
"Paul has let us down badly and I'm not pleased about it at all," added Grant.
"I don't know how long he'll be banned but whatever happens he's not going to be in my squad for the next three games."
Cardiff chief Dave Jones had no complaints about the outcome and is in the dark about rumours that Sam Hammam is about to stand down as Cardiff chairman to be replaced by Peter Ridsdale.
"I don't think we deserved anything from the game," he said. "I think we gave them enough chances in the first half for them to have wrapped it up but fortunately for us they didn't take them."
On the possible change at the top, Jones added: "I don't know anything about that at all."
