Curbs not keen on Canaries

Alan Curbishley has ruled out taking over at Norwich City.

Former Charlton boss Curbishley has been linked with the vacant managerial position at Carrow Road following Nigel Worthington's departure last week.

Speculation intensified that Curbishley was the favourite to succeed Worthington after he was spotted at last weekend's game with Burnley, but Curbishley's agent Phil Smith insists the ex-Charlton chief has no interest in the Norwich role.

"Alan's still away at the moment and doesn't get back for another week or so," Smith told the Norwich Evening News.

"To be fair, he's not interested in coming back to a club in England, outside the Premiership.

"We have already had discussions with Norwich to that effect."
