Linked with Primus again
Portsmouth defender Linvoy Primus is a target for several Championship clubs.
Norwich and Plymouth have made enquiries about Primus, while another unnamed side are also thought to be in the chase for the hard-working defender.
Primus is currently recovering from a knee operation and is well down the pecking order at Fratton Park.
The 32-year-old's situation has alerted clubs to his possible availability and both Norwich and Plymouth are keen to sign him on loan with a view to a permanent deal.
The player's agent John Mac confirmed a number of clubs were keen on Primus, but that the player was waiting to see what Portsmouth wanted to do.
"Norwich and Plymouth are both keen on Linvoy," Mac told skysports.com.
"I have spoken to Tony Pulis and Nigel Worthington and they would like to have him on loan with a view to a permanent move.
"I am planning to have a meeting with Portsmouth to see what they want to do regarding Linvoy.
"Having spoke to Linvoy I think he would like to stay and fight for his place, but if they want to let him go then he may have to leave."
Linked with him when we went up..........linked when we went down........ now linked again now we are fu*ked. Still would like to see him in our defence. What we need is a huge dominating centre back. He looks like Predator!

he would be a great addition
maybe its a sign of us not keeping Davenport on a rest of season loan deal
would of been a decent defence with Davenport/Primus at the back

ye would be a nice combo of experience and youth. Doherty hasn't been that bad tho! From the last two games i went to, i am seriosly concerned about Colin. His postiional sense is terrible. Everytime he gets the ball he looks shaky. Don't know why he ws so highly rated. I think Louis-Jean should get a chance. Drury apparently has just been dropped thru lack of form.
Still Worthy where is our midfielders????? Michael Brown is sittin on the Bench at spurs waiting for you to ask for a loan deal!!

Michael Brown would be a great addition on loan ...shame Worthy will probably get another striker in on loan

Thought once I saw this thread I'd let you guys know he's not "well down the pecking order" as the article says - we're actually really short of central defenders, so I'm sure as soon as he's fit again he'll be back in the first-team squad at least. Fact is he hasn't been match-fit since late last season, so until he's fit enough to at least be given a few games in the first team to find out whether he's still good enough or not, you probably won't be getting him I'm afraid.
I'd rather he went to you than to a lot of teams, I like you guys - was gutted when you went down last year. He'd do well for you, if you do get him, he's really imposing and deceptively quick. Can't see it happening though, he's a real crowd favourite over here and he's still got a place in the squad.
Good luck for the rest of the season boys - please beat the red and white stripy *******s down the road for us, will ya? Cheers.
