Norwich City Signs Marney
England Under-21 international Dean Marney will be joining the Canaries on a season-long loan, according to the club website, www.canaries.co.uk.
The Spurs right-sided midfielder made his Tottenham debut on the opening day of the 2003-04 season at Birmingham but has since found his first team opportunities limited, with him joining Swindon, QPR and Gillingham on loan spells.
The website says: “The 21-year-old midfielder marked his White Hart Lane debut with two goals in Spurs' 5-2 victory over Everton on New Years Day 2005. That display impressed Peter Taylor enough for him to award Marney with his first Under-21 cap the following month, as a substitute in the 2-1 friendly defeat against Holland at Pride Park. After turning professional with the White Hart Lane Club in July 2002 Dean has made a total of 17 appearances for the Club - eight as a substitute, scoring two goals - the amazing double against Everton.”

Brilliant deal here ... escpially in a position where we are very weak due to the lost of Bentley .. Marney made a name of himself for spurs and now they have let us give him experience ... great deal!
