Hate to be the bearer of bad news...
Sorry, if you already know, but I just heard that Dean Ashton has been sold to Blackburn Rovers. However, the deal won't be publicly announced until pre-season training starts so Norwich can sell more season tickets.
I read it on planet football and it was written by someone who knows a close club source to Norwich. We'll see how much turth there is in the future.
If it is true, what does it say about Norwich ... espeacially the chairman?

The only speculation i saw in the last few days was:
Green being linked with Celtic
Francis being linked with Fulham
Bentley being linked with Norwich again
Jarret still being linked with Norwich
It was those blackburn ***** who stole Sutton from us all those years ago! so it had better not be true about Ashton!

To be fair, it probably isn't, but I thought it wasn't too far out not take note of it. Anyway, as I say, we shall see.
I'd think it's probably made up though.
Like today on the same site, someone else is saying they saw Dean Ashton at the Valley.
It can be seen here http://skysports.planetfootball.com/...rs_-_your_view under Bob Smith. Although after giving an abviously made-up namelike Bob Smith, this is likely to be made up.
This page is updated regularly so when you look at it, the Bob Smith statement that "In the last few days, I recently saw Dean Ashton leaving The Valley, sources tell me he was there to have a medical after Charlton and Norwich agreed a fee of £5 million for Dean. This deal will be completed within the week, only £3.5 million will be paid up front with the rest depending on appearances." might have been taken off. |
