Francis off?
CITY leading scorer Damien Francis was today linked with a summer move to Charlton Athletic.
Charlton boss Alan Curbishley was at Carrow Road for Monday night's Barclays Premiership game against Manchester City, and is understood to have been watching the 26-year-old midfielder.
Francis has been one of the players to catch the eye most this season despite the Canaries' battle against relegation, scoring seven times in his 21 Premiership outings - to add to the seven goals he scored in the club's Division One championship-winning campaign.
A national newspaper report today claimed Curbishley was ready to pounce to keep Francis in the top flight if the Canaries are relegated.
Charlton were expected to have the ex-Wimbledon man watched again in City's home clash with Chelsea tonight.
Birmingham boss Steve Bruce is believed to be another Francis admirer, with Fulham also said to be interested.
But a move to Charlton may appeal if Francis is keen to return to his native South London.
The Wandsworth-born player joined the Canaries from Wimbledon in the summer of 2003, and has made 68 senior appearances for them.

if/when we go down theres no way we could keep him to be honest .... Francis is a premiership rated player ..he has talent for a premiership club and any deal from £2 mill+ is very fair
