why should they though, they have limited fan bases.
1-5,000 is a lot to take to an away match, especially when you consider the price.

blackburn dont even sell out at home, although they did when they were winning the league, how come other teams have no poblem selling out their allocation, like united, city for example

We never sold out when we won the league, our average was 25,000 then.
Why we dont sell out?
Because we are a small town of 100,000 people, hence when we sell out, that is just under 1/3 of the towns population in the ground.
United, city have a population of what? 2million people?
Plus united commercialised themselves and have fans all over the country.

We havent played liverpool at anfield this season.
We sold out that last season.
another reason we are not good away is because of the price difference.
At ewood the average price is £20 - £28, away games are usually £30+
We sold out at norwich, man city and burnley.
We took 3,000 - 4,000 to bolton but didnt quite sell it out.

its true blackburn sold out at norwich, and at the same time norwich didnt sell out at Blackburn. but then Blackburn only asked for 950 tickets compared to 3000 for Norwich.
Blackburns population is more than Norwich: 137,000 compared to under 125,000 (2001 census), Norwich get marginally higher home attendances, but there is a huge differance in away attendances. I dont see why?

seriously, you are a city and only have a population of 125,000?
40,000 of our population are darreners, another town.
Hence Blackburn with Darwen.

also opening one of europes largest covered shopping centres in october, and according to a recent report has prospects of being englands 2nd best shopping city...pretty impressive given its size huh?

That is all well and good Johnson, but the fact remains that every team would do that after a sustained period of success had built up a large fanbase of hangers on and glory hunters. Where were all these "fans" at the start of the 90s for example? Old Trafford stood a quarter empty that season.
Just for the record the population of our city is only 220,000, which is actually less than Bolton, Wigan and Stockport and the same as Oldham and Rochdale.
