No Tallec for city

Norwich City manager Nigel Worthington has dismissed a report linking him with a move for Liverpool youngster Anthony Le Tallec.

The 20-year-old Frenchman confirmed yesterday than he was cutting short a loan spell in his homeland with St Etienne – and Sky Sports claimed City were now locked in a three-way battle for his services with Crystal Palace and Sunderland.

It remains to be seen whether Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez will want to let the frontman go out on loan again, with a number of strikers currently on the sidelines at Anfield. But even if he did Worthington would not be interested in bringing him to Carrow Road.

"There is nothing in that one from our point of view," he said.


Shame as i think he would have been a great loan signing. I dont reckon anyone else will be arriving at carrow road from reading recent reports. Could be very very costly. Feelings on whether any late loan signings will occur and who??
