Francis Ready...
Damien Francis has taken part in a full training session for the first time in five weeks, but is unlikely to be rushed into a swift return to action by Norwich boss Nigel Worthington.
Francis's fine start to the campaign was cruelly interrupted by a freak training-ground incident last month which resulted in the midfielder fracturing his cheekbone.
Norwich were looking to rush him back into action after having a protective mask made, but the efforts failed to result in Francis taking the field in December.
Francis' progress has been steady and he is in line for a return to action early in the New Year after making a return to contact training on Thursday.
Norwich have won just once in Francis' absence and have slipped into the relegation places, but Worthington will likely resist throwing him into action against Portsmouth on New Year's Day.

his comeback is just in time though as we need as much players as possible in this injury crisis
