Carrow Road to get bigger?
Carrow Road could become a larger stadium if Norwich survive in the Premiership this season and beyond, the club has revealed.
At present, City can accommodate just under 24,500 fans, with this figure increasing to 26.000 once the corner infill between the Jarrold and Norwich & Peterborough Stands is complete.
The club already has around 2,000 fans on a waiting list for season tickets, and sales and marketing director Andrew Cullen reckons they could attract 35,000 fans for home games if they had the facilities available.
Cullen said: "The next stage of the development of the ground cannot come quickly enough. But it must be in a steady and prudent fashion."
Chief executive Neil Doncaster says the logical next step would be a cantilever top tier on the City stand, but warned: "We are a number of years off doing that. We would need to be an established Premiership club to do that."
The lower tier of the infill development, also housing the ticket office and community facilities, should be open in January, while the upper tier and disabled area is set to be completed in March.
Meanwhile, Doncaster has also predicted "fairly significant" net debts and net losses when City's accounts are announced shortly, which explains why so little cash is being made to manager Nigel Worthington in the January transfer window.
He said: "I cannot say too much about accounts which will be published in the next fortnight. There were a fairly bleak set of financial circumstances last year, and the accounts will not include the Sky money."

I'll believe it when i see it Doncaster!

We've sold out every away game and every home game this season, although sometimes the away fans havent thus the lower average.
Also our %age is higher than 93.4% as that table says because they have our capacity wrong, it's actually about 24,300.
And unlike most grounds we count bums on seats, not tickets sold, thus taking into account season tickets holders who arent there and people who havent turned up etc.

As far as I know we have sold 100% tickets both home and away this season.
Anyway my point is that our supporters have turn up and sung their hearts out home and away.
When i went to Newcastle away in the league - they were the worst supporters I have heard in a long time.
This myth that they have such great support is fairly off the mark.
Yes in Numbers Newcastle are better than Norwich but not in loudness of singing!
They out us in this section right at the back of their stand - even when they were 2-0 up they were silent. Not surprising at 2-2 all their supporters were rushing out.
Hence we have the passion and it may help keep us up yet!

have to agree newcastle hardly made a sound
about the attendance being higher than capacity last season on the F365 stats they forgot to raise out capacity to 24000 after we finished the south stand, so our average attendance was something like 120% of the capacity by the end of the season ::hahaha:: ::hahaha::
