Hungarian international Pal Dardai is reported to be interesting Norwich City.

The 28-year-old has lost his place at German side Hertha Berlin, with former Bayern Munich star Niko Kovac preferred by coach Falko Gotz.

"If I get such few opportunities to play as I do now then I'll move on next summer," Dardai told Nemzeti Sport.

"I'm too young to be on the bench, I'd prefer play football at least two or three more years."

Dardai's contract at The Olympic Stadium does not expire until 2007 and up until this year he was a first team regular - having moved to Berlin in 1996.

Dardai is a defensive midfielder and is the anchor-man for Lothar Matthaus's Hungary.

Sources in Hungary have now stated that Norwich are leading the chase for Dardai.

Norwich have recently lost Damien Francis to injury for three months and there is a major question mark over the future of Danish star Thomas Helveg.

still we need a striker tho!!!!!

Not sure if its what we're looking for. If we stay up then maybe he could play alongside francis, but we got a load of centremidfielders, a central defender and a striker would be more important for me.

Two lads walking down the high street. They see a sign in a chemists window."Free Ipswich Town season ticket" One lad sends his mate in. Fifteen minutes later he appears from the shop with a pack of condoms in his hand. "What the hell did you get those for?!" his friend asks. "I was too bloody embarrased to ask for the season ticket!" he replies.
