Thumbs down Helveg to leave?

The Danish star arrived at Carrow Road in a blaze of publicity in the summer, with manager Nigel Worthington hailing the signing as one of the biggest in the clubs’ history.

However, the 33-year-old has failed to make an impact in the Premiership, and his national coach Morten Olsen has offered his opinion that the player should make a swift exit.

And following news that Helveg is negotiating the purchase of a house in Odense, speculation has grown that a return to his former club is in the offing – although he has played down the rumours.

"That (house purchase) does not have anything to do with my football life," Helveg said. "It's a private matter. I don't want to comment on anything until a move takes place."

sadly he werent the player we all thought he was ..great player but the english game is probably just to fast for him

i reckon all it will take is one good performance from him and he'll break into the team.

u he is buying a house denmark - no surprise he is a rich footballer from denmark coming towards the end of his career.

have been told by a few people who went to the game that Helveg looked very good when he came on!

Reckon he could be going to start next match!

Personally think we should play him and Leon from the start in the next game.

Thomas Helveg has not shown any sort of decent form that should give him a place in the side.Deport him back to Denmark.

early season he looked short of match practise -
lost his place to edworthy who has played out his skin.

i was told helveg is now really up for it - and that he played well last 30 mins on saturday -

i didn't go the game - so maybe one of Hucerbys right foot, canary matt or worthy is king were at the game and will give us an informed update?

I went, he looked like he wanted to play well more than iv seen before which was encouraging. It would be stupid for him to leave now as he hasnt really had a proper chance yet, when hes settled in i think hell be very good, we just have to hope thats soon and that he gets the chances he needs from worthy.

Two lads walking down the high street. They see a sign in a chemists window."Free Ipswich Town season ticket" One lad sends his mate in. Fifteen minutes later he appears from the shop with a pack of condoms in his hand. "What the hell did you get those for?!" his friend asks. "I was too bloody embarrased to ask for the season ticket!" he replies.
